We've now been working with Prisync for roughly three months, and after spending a significant amount of time testing, configuring, discussing different scenarios and going back and forth with support, I feel like I can give a fair assessment of both the product and the team behind it.

First of all, I want to give credit where it's due. Throughout the entire project, our main onboarding consultant, Elvan, has been outstanding. Every question we had was answered thoroughly, often with detailed explanations, screenshots and even custom documentation written specifically for our setup. Whenever we ran into an obstacle, she genuinely tried to find a solution rather than simply pointing us towards the knowledge base. We always felt that she wanted the project to succeed, and that level of customer service deserves recognition. Where the project became challenging was that, as we progressed, we discovered that our Shopify setup is fundamentally incompatible with the way Prisync performs its automatic repricing.

Our expectation from the beginning was to build a largely automated pricing system where competitor prices would be monitored, prices adjusted automatically, and we would mainly supervise the process rather than manage it on a daily basis. Unfortunately, after several weeks of implementation, testing and discussions, we discovered that this simply isn't possible with our current Shopify architecture. Because each flavour variant in our store exists as its own individual product rather than as Shopify variants under a single product, Prisync cannot recognise them as related items. Instead, each flavour is treated as a completely separate product, causing prices to diverge instead of remaining consistent across variants. The proposed solution was to completely rebuild our Shopify product structure into true Shopify variants. While technically understandable, this effectively means restructuring thousands of products and redesigning a store architecture that has taken years to build. For us, that simply isn't a realistic option.

This changed the nature of the entire project.

Instead of ending up with the largely hands-off automation we originally expected, we now have a hybrid, albeit still manual, workflow. Someone must review daily repricing reports, monitor notifications, and manually adjust bundles, special packs, products with GTIN inconsistencies, and other exceptions if needed. In other words, the project shifted from eliminating daily price management to optimising it. To be fair though, this has all been setup in daily reports for us by Elvan, which can be tailored to whatever needs are required.

But naturally this outcome was disappointing at the time, as the final solution ended up being significantly different from the one we originally believed we were implementing.

Overall, I think there are really two separate reviews here.

In regards to the software itself is excellent if your Shopify store follows the product structure Prisync is designed around. However, if your store has a more complex or heavily customised architecture like ours, I would strongly recommend verifying compatibility very early in the onboarding process, as it can fundamentally change what level of automation is actually achievable.

The people behind the software, however, have been excellent throughout. Our main contact Elvan has been patient, knowledgeable, transparent and consistently willing to help us find the best possible solution, even when the ideal solution turned out not to be achievable in our particular case. That level of professionalism deserves recognition, and it's the main reason we still come away from this project with a positive impression of Prisync as a company, even if the final implementation wasn't what we had originally envisioned. We use the reports on a daily basis, and it has definitely helped stay on top of our competitors pricing strategies, allowing us to formulate and implement our own, without the hazzle of sifting through endless websites day in and day out. So with all said and done, it's worth it!
