Ok, so I bought an advanced monthly plan and custom codes which was one time payment. Tried it out and was working. The next day I try to do custom codes, it shows that it's a completely different plan and I don't have access to it. Did you change the plan? This is absurd. I either want a full refund or access that I paid for initially.

There is no method to create a sku for a single product. Looks nice if you want to generate skus in bulk though.

Actually, you can create a SKU for a single product if you send it to the app from the product editing page. Please go to the More actions menu, then select 'Generate SKU'. This will send the product to the app and you'll be able to generate the SKU.
I hope you'll reconsider the review.
Not the easiest to use and support wasn't helpful. They just kept referring me to videos that I have already watched. Decided to switch the EasyScan instead.

Button to generate SKUs is grey out. Updated to the £1.99 monthly plan and it still seems greyed out. Some clarification on why this is would be helpful.

The Generate button is greyed out if the options you selected are not part of your current plan.
The $1.99 plan is for Automatic generation, but it does not include all generation options which are part of the "Advanced options" (one-time fee)

They charged me money after it was uninstalled a few minutes after installation because the app doesn't work.
Be careful when installing this app if you don't want unwanted charges!!
When an app subscription is activated Shopify invoices the entire month, at the end of the billing period. This is why you got the charge after almost a month.
As you know, we refunded this charge. This is all we can do as an app developer.
Also, I'm sure you would see that the app works well if you would contact our support.

This is a very finicky app. In our case we trusted it and it seriously screwed us up (now sure what went wrong in the process). I guess it doesn't check if previous SKUs collided with current SKUs their generation process (even if those were generated by the app). Because of that it generated duplicated SKUs for a couple of our products. This means we printed duplicated SKUs (and barcodes for that matter) and sent badly tagged products to our warehouse. We are having to generate new SKUs for each duplicated product, retrieve all badly tagged products from the warehouse and manually check them one by one to see what they actually are in order to generate new codes. Horrible experience. It works alright in some cases but it makes "small" mistakes... And those mistakes are EXPENSIVE.
Also no options to print on Brother printers.

They charged me once again like all this 3 party apps that are useless, I was understanding that if i upgraded they would put barcodes to products missing my barcodes won't be using this

I paid for the advanced option so I could update one product and it overwrote my entire catalog. No mater which option I choose, all products, collection, or product, it re writes all products.

The app can target only one product for generation.
You can also use the "Set only missing codes" option to avoid overwriting existing SKUs.

I use this app to generate unique SKUs required for listings on Amazon. My supplier SKUs are not unique and needed to be extended with additional characters while preserving the original SKU per my supplier. SKUGen had the functionality I needed to generate a new SKU but not to append to an existing SKU. I reached out and upon careful consideration they made the change and it works great. I high recommend this app.
I used this app to help me but it could certainly be better if if allowed me to select the order of layouts.

This app saves so much time. My supplier wanted unique SKUs for all the products on my store and I didn't know where to start as I have well over 1000 SKUs. Luckily, I came across this app and within 10 minutes - my problem was solved. 5 Stars!

Omg. This app just saved me sooo much time! I needed over 300 SKUs for my new Shipping Easy inventory management system, and within minutes of downloading this one app I had all of them! If it wasn't for this app, I would have spent several hours going through each product one by one creating and entering SKUs! I wish I could give this app 10 stars right now.

There is only one flaw... that there is no button for review :P.
I had to manually come to the Shopify store, find the app and review it... come on guys add a review button.
P.S. I think you'd benefit more with monthly 0.99$ where you allow automatic SKU gen for newly added products "to custom selected lists".
So a feature that I think is missing is that you allow specific end code for each product or for all. Right now it works to do it for all of the product.
Imagine, we have a new variant in a product.. now it will get the last number like 1230 or something, instead it should continue with the next in line number for the specific product.

Every time I add a product, SKUgen inserts it before all the serial numbers which inturn raises all the serial numbers it already generated by one. A great way to screw up your inventory management.

The app is not changing already generated SKUs, unless you choose to re-generate the SKUs.
For new products we recommend to check the "Set only missing SKUs" checkbox. This will prevent changing already generated SKUs.

This app is amazing. It is the only SKU generator available on Shopify and I need to say that using the premium features it is almost free.
We just paid one-off-payment of $9.90 to unlock the app and it has put our store sku product management basically on auto pilot, saving us tens of work of manual work. We generated all your well-structured product SKUs with just 1 click. Amazing.
