Our Automated product recommendation emails are personalized one to one messages with individual recommended products, based on each of your customer’s browsing behaviour, past purchases, and email clicks.

How it Works

We automatically pull in all of your previous customer data from your Shopify store. Then we start tracking what your current visitors are clicking on, adding to cart, and buying.

Our emails use this data to make individual product recommendations for each of your customers. More relevant products means more chance they find something they want to buy.

Couldn't be happier with Smartrmail for my email marketing. I've used Klaivyo and actually loved their flows and features but unfortunately my sales dropped off compared to mailchimp. While smartermail may not have every single feature, my emails have better open rates and my sales have improved with probably less work.

I'd recommend using their product recommendation emails, I've just set them to send every week and I get sales without even trying. EASY! Abandoned cart emails have been getting decent sales too on the 2nd send.

Cool app so far - I'm actually using the manual emails more than the automatic, but I've only had it a few weeks, so well see. Still waiting for the ability to choose 'only Sale' items in automatic emails, please add it!

EDIT: 'On sale' added to automatic emails, very handy.


My trial went well, so I signed up for a paid account yesterday.

Immediately, the app sent out about 5 duplicate emails to each of my customers, over the course of about 30 minutes.

I'm still digging out from all of the complaints from my email list.

If you don't want your email list to get spammed, don't use this app until they have the bugs worked out.


Smart Mail is a revenue multiplier. It has increased sales drastically on our site https://aussiediscreet.com.au It is a no brainer. Aussie Discreet loves you guys!


Beware using this product. We have been bitten by poorly tested and buggy software that are cause for embarrassment....far from promoting your products it will turn customers away.


I wouldn't bother.
I've been using this app for a bit of time now and can safely say it isn't worth it. Seriously, don't waste your time or more importantly, your money
With some apps you know you have a great start point (like this was initially) and then you hope (like many apps do) that they develop it and add some more features and create a better product. Not here though. If anything they've gone backwards.

They've even got our business quoting them on their website saying how cool it is, but let me tell you, it isn't anymore and I've asked them to remove the quote.

Lets look at what's wrong...

1. It used to be a free app but now we pay nearly $100 per month. Not a problem if it works, but it doesn't! All of yesterday the entire site/app was not functional. Today the website is up but many options (like updating my list are not working)
2. Customer support used to be almost immediate but now you'll be lucky to get a response in a week and even if you do its from some smart arse who wants to treat you like an idiot (I'm not)
3. The app just hasn't developed and become better. After years of use you'd think (like others) it would have developed more options (like responsive elements or the ability to pull in bits from your social media) but no. It doesn't. It can't. What are they doing with all the customers money if they aren't investing in make something better than before?
4. The standard "auto" e-mail option is pretty much USELESS to any store as it uses some extremely basic calculations (i.e biggest seller quantity, most revenue, and most looked at) to create your e-mail which means it will send (for many stores) pretty much the same bloody products to your customers every time! This is pointless for you and your customer and will quickly see them UNSUBSCRIBE.
5. THis means you have to create e-mail manually which although a pain is something we just got used to doing but clearly has it's issues when you can't log in, send, update etc!
6. I was also told today to disregard the e-mail metrics (i.e the detail on revenue generated, e-mail opens, e-mail sends etc) as there was an issue with this!

So, to summarise, you'll pay a lot for an app that doesn't work automatically, you can't log in too most of the time, that you can't see it's results and you don't get any customer support either.

I have been trying to contact the support through e-mail (concierge@sendicate.net) regarding billing concerns but have not received a reply. It's been about a month. I've sent an e-mail again just now, let's see.

To be fair, the app does what it's supposed to do, but I unsubscribed because it's not working for me (in terms of sales).

I'm very disappointed with the lack of support, though, and would not be recommending this app for this very reason.


For a short period, I tried this app. Seems to work fine. The website information states that the app is $0 up to 200 Customers. Apparently Someone Messed up. I would have considered using this app. but due to misconception I rather save my self now then allow a company to access my funds and have a problem later.

This is a great app! I see sales every time I send out an email. I love it, great help in email marketing and a good accompaniment to MailChimp since it has built in integration.


Log in for Shopify not working. I can not access my account. Frustrating.
