5-Star Reviews are Deceiving - Read the 1&2 Stars to make an informed decision I am not one to spend time reviewing apps, but this app with 4.7 average reviews at the time is extremely deceiving. The 5-star reviews are mostly from beginners who install it and thing it "looks good". If you actually speak the translated language and have 3rd party apps that need translation, you will be extremely frustrated at how hard it is to actually customize things. Once installed it messed up my Size selector, sizes, product titles, and other things. There is no way to customize many of the translations unless you contact support and they "fix it" DON't LET THEM! Why they do is they go and hardcode a bunch of lines that won't go away once you finally give up and remove the application. This app is a black-box auto translator and their staff is helpless. While their suppport staff seems friendly and will attempt helping you, the design of the app is so poor that their only way to help you would be to hardcode things that will eventually break your site. Product translation is awful. Most apps would get you a search bar and show a list of your products in which you can go and quicly modify titles. this app will you you products and you have to click each, open a new window, click edit, before you can edit one title. Then save, go back two levels above, and repeat your search. Extremely inefficient if you need to edit things. And unless you don't know the translated language, you know most likely any serious store will need to edit texts and more. Save yourself the headache. DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP.

Regarding to your concern as following:

1. The first issue is unable to edit content from third party apps. For making it clear, our app will detect the element built by third party apps and then translated them automatically. However because it's from third party apps, so it does not allow our app to edit its content.

2. Secondly, I have realized your page contains lots of elements coming from third party apps such as size variants they have some specific codes which are not compatible with our app. However, if this error is not out of our control, we're still able to fix it.

3. As you said that "Why they do is they go and hardcode a bunch of lines that won't go away once you finally give up and remove the application", you mean after you uninstall our app, some leftover code will show. If yes, as usual our app code will disappear and there will be no change from your site. Sometimes, there will have some lines of code leftover on your site for some reasons, but no worries much, we have published the article how to remove it completely on your store with some simple steps or if you cannot do it, please contact our support team to handle it for you.

4. As you mentioned that "Most apps would get you a search bar and show a list of your products in which you can go and quicly modify titles", our app still has the search bar to do it. However, your feedback about the process to edit in-app, I have noted this point and forward to concern team to improve it as soon as possible.

This app is STEALING my data all the time!
I have been using this app Transcy for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I just found this terrible fact. As a translation App, it has gained the permission to access a lot of Business Confidential Information of my store, which includes all the information of my customers, orders, products and even the right to edit them. As a merchant, I have good reason to believe they are STEALING my business data all the time! DO NOT INSTALL this app, unless you want to be naked in front of them. And you don't have any ideas what & when they will do with your store secretly!

We have finished our trial with Transcy and we have decided not to continue with them. The app is good if you have a "simple" store, but if you take your store seriously and care about loading time, performance and dynamic translations this is not it. If you have a page that has other third apps, specially landing page apps like GemPages and more, then Transcy is not at all good. The app cannot translate anything that doesnt belong to the native shopify theme, for exemple, we have some products with specific profiles and modules, if we want to change the language with Transcy it behaves as intended (on the current page), but if you click another product (which is what a customer will do) then the next page is loaded on the primary language and then it takes between 2-5 seconds to translate the page, really disrupting our customer experience. We talked with technical support and they told us that it is because Transcy needs to wait for the whole page to load (images and text) and it doesnt support other apps besides native Shopify... When we first installed, we got a sync issue, when trying to translate it was taking us to a 404, they fixed this issue over and over again during our trial so we couldnt really test the app, and we were forced to contact customer support to be able to embed the switcher to our page. After contacting them for the first time without even having being able to be able to run the app on our page the "agent Jennifer" asked us to rate the app, we told them that we couldnt give a rate if we haven't even tested the app. On "her" next answer, 5 minutes later, "she" told us that "she" cannot see our 5 stars review and when are we going to do it, really?, after we told "her" that we will do it when we have tested the app then she told us to tell her when we have done it so she can check it, what??, it seems that "she" got upset and they fixed our issue in 1-3 hrs!. The customer support is not good at all, you always deal with "Jennifer" with the same profile picture, and when you tell them the issue, "she" always asks for a screenshot, how can I provide a screenshot for a dynamic loading issue? please tell me how, because you cannot upload movie files... "Jennifer" is just a name for all the team to talk to you, so no personal interaction, then the technical support is very rude and they never introduce themselves. But the deal breaker for us is that when you contact cutomer support it takes generally 1-3 hours for them to answer, and when you answer their answer then they take another hour. Just yesterday it took 2 hours for them to fix the same 404 issue and an extra 6 hours to answer our technical questions. On average, it will take you 3 hours to have your problem fixed and your questions answered, do our customers have this time?, i dont think so. So if you have a busy page, this app is not the answer, if you run into an issue that "kills" your page like our 404 issue, it will be fixed in hours (they "repaired" 4 times, and didnt told us what was the issue). If you are a proper business owner, ask yourself, how many customer I have lost during this time and how does the limited capacity of this app will impact my company's reputation. Think carefully and consider other options that supports third party apps like Weglot, Translation Lab, between others before chosing this faily simple app with an impersonal and slow customer service. Five starts reviews are mostly after have fixed a simple issue, the real reviews are 3 stars and below.

terrible, Please avoid. very bad experience with this app I use a free plan which have only one language free i use it and translate my store and spend so much time to edit it after one week they need me to change plan < why > and i can't use the language any more my store keep loading and loading not working good . just deleted

In relation to your problems as following:

1. The first issue is that "you spend so much time to edit it after one week they need me to change plan < why >", I seem not to understand your point, you please explain it in details. Because if you're in Free plan with basic language, you cannot edit its translation. Therefore, I am wondering during the trial you were in one of the paid plan as Eco or Starter plan, when your trial ended, you could not use your advance language to edit its translation.

2. The second issue as " and i can't use the language any more my store keep loading and loading not working good", unfortunately I also did not catch your point, as my colleague has sent you a follow up email,
please get back to them, so they can help you further.

during my free trial, everything I edit can not be saved.... ours of work and i lost everything.... support dont work on fridays, so i have to wait till monday nad the free trial period is gone... terrible

Regarding to your concern, you now need to edit each element and then save it one by one, in case you edit all elements and then save it one time, it will save only the last element. Although it's the limit from bulk edit, we have realized and will improve it in the next release, hope you sympathize for us.

Worst experience with a Shopify app I have ever had. After installing the app, I noticed that the translations weren't displaying correctly and that different currencies weren't showing. I asked the support team for help and after giving them some access to my store, they kept me on chat for about 2 hours. After 2 hours, and very little progress, they told me that they needed increased admin access to be able to edit my markets, I explained multiple times that I was not going to give said access as it would be in breach of customer data legislation and would expose my customer data to a third party (they were requesting orders access).

The support team ignored my explaination and kept saying that this was going to be the only way to fix the issue. As we weren't making any progress and the support team insisted on getting me to grant them access to my customer data, I asked for a refund. Then I was told that as per their t&cs, if I refused to give "staff account" access that would be against their refund policy and therefore I couldn't get a refund. I explained that I shouldn't find myself in the position of breaching data law in order to be compliant with their policies but again that fell on deaf ears.

Through their behaviour they've shown how little they care about data security so I wouldn't recommend this app to anybody. Besides, the refund request is now "being assessed", I doubt I'll ever see the money again. Waste of time.

Worst experience ever. Although we opted for the Premium plan, they made us wait 5 days for an app that has missing translations, false translations and our website's usability and speed went down considerably. We are shocked to see how this app can have so many positive reviews. I think most of its users don't speak any other languages. "Check out" was translated as "Vérifier" in French which means verify. Apps are not translated, doesn't integrate well with Shopify Markets. The support is terrible and slow. An overall catastrophic experience that made us loose a lot of revenue during 5 days due to bugs, errors and mis-information. We were promised 24-48 hours, then a specific day and none of these delays were respected. Unprofessional, unethical and uncaring -> worst experience with a Shopify App. EDIT: They didn't even delete their code after saying that I wanted to delete the app, they basically just sent an article on how to delete left over code, worst way to treat customers!

Based on the main issue with translation, as usual our app will work properly and is compatible with most of the current themes, however with strange theme as well as special theme, if it's not working with our app, we need to check it further and try to adjust or even if customize it manually to work with our app, we're here willing to help and try our best, we did not want to give up anything immediately if it's out of our control, so it's the main reason why we need more time to check and I highly appreciate your empathy in this situation

Tried to use this app, but unfortunately, this app created too many issues, and did not work in my case.
1. My search results became a a mess - all the titles multiplied 5 times 2. Getbutton icon that allows customers to communicate with us via WhatsApp became unusable and huge
3. Their support is there, but not really solving the issue, nor I can tell in confident they understood my problem.
4. After removal of the app, their code has been left in my template and still caused problems to my site appearance. I had to pay developers to find the problem and remove their code manually. It looks like big and complicated system and I would suggest to try this app on non-production site first, to avoid issues like mine.

1. "My search results became a a mess - all the titles multiplied 5 times", recently Shopify has changed some rules on their system. In this update, they've found some small bugs unexpectedly that might affect to our functionalities or working process in few cases and we're noticed from Shopify system already.

2. "Getbutton icon that allows customers to communicate with us via WhatsApp became unusable and huge", once you translate your page, something such as icon or button from your website might be affected, and this can be completely fixed by us.

3. We have checked your conversation with my related colleague who has supported directly your case to avoid this next time.

4. Leftover code issue, sometimes, there will have some lines of code leftover on your site for some reasons. However, we have an published article for this and you can resolve it by yourself.
