Great support from Julius and Hani over many zoom calls. We had set the account mapping incorrectly and once Julius fixed that and offered training on how to reconcile correctly so going forward reconciling is easy.

It's a good app, the setup was fairly straightforward.

It would be 5* if it also included the option to sync POs (Purchase Orders) from Shopify into XERO.

Ria from Amaka was very helpful in re-establishing a sync between Xero & Shopify for me. She spent the full hour as I'm a bit of a novice with these integrations but her instructions were clear and helpful and she even investigated ways we could make the integration work even better for our business. Initially I was worried about having to have a couple of sessions with these shopify changes, but they have been worth it.

The Amaka team supporting this Xero integration is completely useless. some of our orders were not syncing and i contacted them. They wasted a week asking me which email is connected to the account before they were even willing to look into it although i already sent an email from the same domain. then they ask a bunch of questions over 2 weeks to try to understand why it wasnt syncing. 20 screenshots later, they ask me to book an online call with them 3 weeks out. Ridiculous. I wish someone will book a decent paid app for this sync so I dont have to deal with Amaka's clear incompetency. Such an utter waste of time.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Yasi for the persistence and perseverance with me this last couple of weeks. Her responsiveness, clear communication and assistance in resolving a minor sync issue with a payout missing in Xero was greatly appreciated. Great service and a delight to work with. Overall this is a great app and I'm stoked all is back up to date and working well. Thanks Yasi!

Amaka has made syncing our Shopify store with Xero easy. We had a few questions around our Afterpay workflow during setup, and Ria Cases was super helpful in guiding us through everything and ensuring it was configured correctly. The support was excellent, and the whole setup process was smooth and straightforward.

I struggled with the Initial instructions to connect the integration - Support got back to me quite quickly with a fresh set of instructions which worked. We had a sync error occur once, but after investigation with support they identified it being a false sync error.
They give you an option to sync daily batches or individual transactions, which is amazing!
Support team's response time is good and they're very professional.

I uninstalled this app from my high volume store due to issues and bad customer service however then discovered it also was not handling inventory transactions correctly so have uninstalled it from this store also.
Handling inventory is a basic that should just work without being a rocket scientist. The app just isn't fit for purpose and the 12 hour delayed customer service just isn't good enough.
It took me days to fix both stores with the incorrect transactions and we are still trying to reconcile bank accounts.
Its not worth the pain!!

Does exactly what it should. Shopify sales flow into Xero when the payout is settled, so bank reconciliation actually works. Handles GST, refunds and fees cleanly. If you're doing e-commerce bookkeeping in Australia, this is the connector to use.

On the older app, your customer's purchases and taxes wrote directly to the chart of accounts you assigned, now they don't. The new Amaka third party vendor that Xero uses to handle the shopify integration has completely broken my existing Chart of accounts. The new Amaka 3rd party integration Xero uses broke my existing chart of accounts mapping and now I have two different mappings to deal with for my COAs.

In regards to all shopify store apps, I have learned about them the hard way, as the 3rd party apps are not very good for the most part. In my opinion and experience, 99% of the apps in the shopify app store are a complete scam, because shopify support has told me on multiple occasions that they do not vet validity of ANY vendor that writes apps for the shopify store. The vendors just have to meet technical requirements for the apps to function in your shopify store. Do not trust ANY app in the shopify store. Reading reviews on social media is a WASTE OF TIME. A lot of these legacy companies are playing catchup when it comes to AI integration due to how embedded they are in legacy systems operations. Newer companies that are building their systems around AI development are going to be the vendors that survive, but regardless, shopify does not vet the validity/integrity of the vendor publishing an app to Shopify's app store. Use at your own risk.
