How does banbutsu Courier work?

If a customer's delivery address is in the same area as your pickup store or warehouse, the ‘same-day’ and ‘next-day’ delivery option appears automatically in the checkout alongside to your existing delivery options. After selection, banbutsu processes the order and passes it to a certified, local driver. In addition, your customers will be notified via SMS at pick-up and delivery.

Furthermore, you can customize and manage many other features via our Shopify app settings, such as the pickup and delivery schedule, the end customer pricing, and a unique service name.

Requirements for banbutsu Courier

Your pickup store or warehouse must be located within a supported delivery area and the products must not exceed certain package sizes and weights. Currently, banbutsu Courier is available in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt a. M., Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart. To install banbutsu Courier, your store must have the so called 'Shopify Carrier Services' enabled for externally charged shipping rates.

This is the case if you either

• run on an Advanced Shopify plan or higher

• or you pay your Shopify rate annually regardless of the plan (10% cost savings).
