496% COST INCREASE
496% COST INCREASE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I have been a customer of Doofinder since 2021. When I signed up, we agreed a €25 per month price for the lifetime of the contract.

Without consultation, they increased the price to €149 per month — a 496% increase. My usage would actually qualify for their €49 plan, yet they still placed me on the €149 subscription.

When I challenged the increase, Doofinder responded by saying they could no longer meet my expectations, even though my expectations have not changed since the beginning.

Early customers supported this company but it now seems like greed has replaced loyalty.

I also submitted a GDPR data request, which they have failed to comply with.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company in any way.

For the second time in a month I have been really let down by their support team. It is really atrocious - be prepared to go days with a broken site search if you use Doofinder.

On this occasion the search bar stopped working because I had apparently exhausted my quota - the app told me I was on the free plan despite being a $61 / month paid user and they cut off the search functionality.

I contacted support but all I got were messages (likely AI) telling me someone was looking into it. This really isn't a difficult issue to solve - it's an obvious error on Doofinder's side. But it has been left over 24 hours now, during which time we've spent marketing budget towards website users who cannot use our site search.

Last time we had to wait 3 full days to resolve a simple issue that broke our entire site search. I recommend looking elsewhere.

Nonexistent Customer Support
Extremely disappointing experience with Doofinder. The app itself might have potential, but it is completely overshadowed by what can only be described as nonexistent customer support.

After installation, I encountered several technical issues and reached out multiple times. Responses were slow, generic, and ultimately unhelpful. There was no real ownership of the problem, no meaningful follow-up, and absolutely no sense of urgency — even when the issues were directly impacting sales.

For a paid app on Shopify, where search functionality is critical to revenue, this level of support is simply unacceptable. You expect a reliable technology partner, not silence when it matters most.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. When you need support, there’s no one there.

I’ve personally reviewed your case in detail. First, I want to apologize for the initial delay. We experienced a temporary backlog that caused our response time to extend to four days, which is clearly not the level of service we strive for. I also see that our commercial representative who was your first point of contact and is fully trained to assist with onboarding and setup proactively offered support early on, but that assistance was declined at the time. Our intention from the beginning was to make sure you had guidance whenever needed.

Once your request reached our technical team, your concerns were escalated internally for deeper review. We are currently waiting for your response to continue moving forward and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

We are a team of people who genuinely care about our customers and work every day to provide reliable support and meaningful solutions. I’m sorry we fell short of your expectations, and I would sincerely welcome the opportunity to turn this experience around so you can continue benefiting from Doofinder.

Intuitive, fast and by far the best search tool for large catalogues, we have been using Doofinder for over a year now, recently we had a theme upgrade and it caused some issues with loading, there customer service is second to none and the issue was addressed and solved so quickly, thanks to Tau, Victor and the team.

"DooFinder Support is NON-EXISTENT and many Glitches/Issues"

We've had Doofinder set up(enterprise level, so we had EVERY feature at $108/month) on our site for nearly a year now (started 8/23). Although the interface seemed great at first, it wasn't very configurable with our large catalog of products (about 400 visible and 200 non visible). We had random glitches where all products were seen by our customers. Once our rep (Lindsay) left the company, any and all support was impossible to get in contact with. As for the promised "AI" feature, there's nothing AI about this software. We finally decided at the 11 month point to cancel the subscription and I contacted our rep. Crickets. I contacted support. Crickets. I finally went into Shopify and halted the subscription after not hearing from DooFinder support for a two weeks. I contacted, re-contacted through various POC's for a refund for the last month. It wasn't until I reached out to executive's at Doofinder that I every got a response. I was told, no refund since you used the service. Well, I wouldn't have if you would have answered my 8+ emails/forms.

Previous review when we set up the account:

Lindsay helped us get all set up with DooFinder on our Shopify store. It's been one of the best additions to our Shopify account to date. It just brings our search bar to life and gives so many controllable options for our customers. The banner ads are also a big plus - gives an additional space for promotional items or related products/services. The on boarding process was super easy - it did everything on it's own and after about 48 hours, we had some solid analytics from our real customers. Thanks Lindsay!

Tengo la versión de 59.99 usd y la verdad aunque si esta un poco costosa es jodidamente super buena, llevo como unos 4 meses con ella y no me arrepiento simplemente es muy buena para lo que ofrece:

-Soporte god muy amables y te ayudan en todo
-Buen diseño de buscado
-Puedes agregar diseños en tu buscaod
-Metricas de como lo busca la gente y que sale a la hora de buscar
-CTR de las cosas que busca la gente

Realmente es muy buena APP 100% vale la pena

We tried this app, but unfortunately, we had some issues especially for the mobile devices the search widget would load after a 1-2 seconds delay. And if your store experiences a high number of sessions per day, it might become quite expensive since the cost is based on the number of requests your store makes. Since our store has the around 150k monthly sessions and after installing this app for a week this app made a request of around 55,000 requests. We were on pro plan having 100,000 request per month and the price was $130/month approx. We later had to increase the limit to 200,000 request per month, which significantly increased the cost.

And there is no immediate support for the emergencies.

Doofinder is a cost-effective solution for indexing our large catalogue of products and serving these to customers - the app is very easy to install and integrates seamlessly with our Shopify store. In addition, the weekly email report allows us to quickly identify any opportunities and increase customer engagement.

I tried a 30 day trial with DooFinder and I was really impressed with the results! I'm going to try it out for another 30 days but will most likely integrate this app permanently. DooFinder is extremely thorough and their customer service is excellent. I 've never had any trouble reaching someone for assistance. Salaiman has gone over and above and even set up a screen sharing session with me to help me better understand the app. The back office is well set up and easy to understand. You should give them a shot since it's a 30 day free trial. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
