Seems easy enough to use. For existing data perhaps its good, but that seems to mean that you would need to get scammed first before knowing what rule to set?
Would be great if there were some suggested rules that should be used, or maybe you could choose to have your fraud data shared with others so that it can auto-create/suggest some fraud rules for you based on what others are setting
This app is worthless. After talking to customer support and finding out that this app allowed you to create a series of filters for it to decide when to flag a purchase, I gave it the expectation that is was basically a blacklist.
Simple enough. I set one filter of let me know when an order over $500 is made.
It flagged every single $30 order as possibly fraudulent.
Delete. I'll stick with the regular shopify fraud analysis.
We use this for fraudulent orders and diverters. It works well. The only thing from getting 5 stars is the lack of options when creating filters. It would be nice to have time and date parameters in the rules for making filters. i.e. We have obligations to restrict a certain number of orders per day and per week. It would also be nice to have product specific parameters in the rules for making filters. i.e. We have obligations for maximum quantity of any one product on any one order. This is a great app for people with obligations to vendors. Thanks for the work on it Shopify!
Hey, there. Thank you for taking the time to write this review and share these suggestions. We can see how having more filter options can be beneficial for our merchants using this app and we'd be happy to share this with our developers. Cheers! -Elias, Shopify Support
I used this app and the orders are being identified as fraudulent, but I'm not getting any warnings in the Shopify admin, can you check please?
I'm sorry to hear that you've had this issue but thank you for notifying us of the issue here. The Fraud Filter app can be used to set rules on cancelling and flagging orders based on certain criteria set by the merchant, but Shopify also offers a risk analysis on orders that automatically flags orders of a certain risk based on a number of factors. If you're unsure about the risk level of your orders, I'd recommend contacting our support team so they can take a closer look at your store: https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA. -Victor
ok ok Provide some detail about what you did or did not enjoy about using this app. Your comments can help other merchants decide whether to use this app.
This app allows for the creation of super specific rules which is great to stop the EXACT SAME fraudulent order from happening again but fraudsters aren’t stupid. They change emails, use a different IP address, order different product. I literally didn’t even waste my time configuring a single rule once I saw how it worked as I knew it would be a complete waste of time. What would actually be powerful is if you were able to use the fraud analysis result and use it within the fraud filter app. Being able to cancel out all orders with High fraud risk for example - that would be powerful. I asked 3 times if this could be done but kept getting the same recycled script from the help desk so gave up. Do better Shopify.
Great app. Works well. Looks great. Easy to setup. https://www.kinkytoy.store
Come on Shopify what a STUPID APP! Your application has fraud alerts already, why would you not tie these into this app? How stupid are your developers. All fraud cases are generally one time customers, how the hell are we supposed to set a filter on them? The filter is the fraud analysis thats already been done.
Simple app - does what it says. Helpful for detecting 'risky' transactions so they can be further investigated. For a free app it works well and does what is says on the box!
Doesn't work at all... Sorry to say. We use the options on the same person and because he's using a proxy server his IP changes and it doesn't catch it. It lists his name and shipping address, but still takes the orders. Useless IMO. Sorry.
