Gift Wizard have good concept.

The customer service is fast but sometimes misunderstand in communication. Still highly recommend.

UPDATE:

Since writing my 1 star review just a few days ago, I have received 2 emails asking me to change/delete my review. Instead, I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Regarding my issue on not responding to my email, they kept telling me that they were "too busy". Not my problem, and to be CLEAR, i was mad that he responded to my email 2 days after I sent it, not answering any of my questions. They did offer me a free subscription or something of that nature which I do not want since I found another app that only costs $7 a month and they set everything up for me just hours after installing it. I appreciate the offers, but asking someone to delete their review is unfair and to be honest pretty unprofessional.. And using the same "too busy" excuse over & over again is annoying. Maybe this app is good for other businesses but it's just not for me. This is how I feel, this is my opinion. Everyone has a different opinion. I would appreciate it if I did not receive any more emails after this.

This review is for their horrendous customer service. I downloaded the app and am so confused about pricing, what the app offers and how it works. I figured I would just get the app then email them asking my questions since everyone says they are "sooo great with helping" ya right. I emailed Ari, asked 3 different questions and he responded a day later (which is way too long to wait) literally not answering any of them. I told him to re read my email and answer my questions since you literally didn't answer any of them. Now i have not heard back since. So annoyed since I wanted to get the gift cards out and on the site for holiday season. But now i am just going to cancel this overpriced app and download another one I have found. I wouldnt be surprised if i got a response to my email tomorrow after they see this review. over the app. 1 star is too much.

Updating my review from 1-Star to 4-Star. While I still completely believe that Rise.AI's pricing model is completely out of sync with Small/Startup company sensibilities (and budgets), the app itself is amazing. To me, it makes more sense to reduce the barrier to entry (app fee) and enable more features and build more cost into the transaction volume. That way we grow, and succeed together until a base fee starts to make more sense. That said, it's easy to integrate, customize, and deploy without knowing code. I only launched the giftcard functionality but look forward to utilizing the other elements soon. I also want to acknowledge the Customer Service/Support team, specifically Itay, who engaged immediately to "save the sale". He was outstanding when it came down to listening to my concerns and actioning an amenable solution. Exactly the kind of thing I wish more companies did well.

Save your time by choosing Rise.ai. Rise is by far the best store credit service for Shopify (Infinitely better than the competitors). It is intuitive and easy to use, works well with a ton of value. Usually, new apps are overwhelming with new features. Thanks to their onboarding and support team I was able to set up almost everything really fast - in that case loyalty program, rewards, gift cards and store credit refunds. Their customer support team has been available to help almost 24/7. I can highly recommend it!

**Update** Customer service from Ari was fantastic and incredibly helpful. I can't say enough about the fast thorough response. There are some work arounds to help with the issues I have already mentioned. There are updates coming soon that should make this program top notch. So far we do really like this app. we Look forward to working with Ari and Rise more. Will update again after the next updates.

Rise has a lot of potential. The gift cards are great and fully customizable. They are much better than the stock gift cards from Shopify. It was easy to set them up and match them to our stores theme. There are a few major flaws however. The app page says that you can offer loyalty points or cash back. Unfortunately loyalty points are not an option once the app is installed. We decided to try the cash back as rewards program but ran into the following problems. The first is that store credit and gift cards are all accounted for the same in a customers account and through Shopify. This means a customer could have store credit of $5, earned through a purchase, with an expiration date coming up soon. They could also have a gift card balance of $5 that never expires. When they log into their account it will just show $10 and not show them an expiration or separate what is credit and what is gift card. On the merchant side all we can see the difference directly in the customers profile but not in Shopifys accounting. So Shopify just shows that the merchant has a $10 liability instead of $5. Legally this is an issue for the merchant. This app has a lot to offer and great potential. However, until the store credit, loyalty rewards, and gift cards are separated and fully visible for the customer and for the merchants accounting, we just can't use this program.

I just saw your review as well as your questions to the support team.

First, thank you for your feedback, one of the things we are currently working on is a correct display of expiration on the customer account page.

Second, there is a way to separate the rewards so that they are not accumulated on the same card. This would give a better understanding of the expiration of different parts until with finish working on the frontend (they can be merged later).

Regarding accounting, great news - we will release our new reporting in a few days. It is now in beta testing and I would love to hear what you think.

I'm always looking for merchants who are willing to give honest feedback so that I can improve my product.

Eddie, an agent at Rise.ai, helped us integrate a custom gift card solution, and they are TOTALLY AMAZING. The platform is easy to use, but we had a special use case that required a bit more hands on help from the Rise.ai team

I was very pleased with this app so far. We're using it to create bulk gift card codes so we can produce physical gift cards for distribution. The process is a little clunky as you have to get your bulk request manually approved before it can happen, but I understand their reasoning for that.
