I bought a lifetime license for Profitario 3 years ago. A new company acquired the app, that contract has simply been ignored: did not maintain the features I was using and now asked to pay a monthly subscription.
No prior notice, no compensation, no meaningful reply from support. Selling "lifetime" access, changing owners, then pretending the promise never existed is abusive and borderline fraudulent.
Don't trust any offer from this company.

For anyone reading this, I want to clear up the main points. Profitario has not been acquired. It is still built and run by the same company that sold the AliExpress extension add-on, and that purchase is still honored. In fact, the limits the add-on used to remove no longer exist for anyone, so the extension's AliExpress features are free on any account without a connected Shopify store.
The upgrade prompt came from the core Profitario app, not the extension. Once a Shopify store is connected, the free plan includes a set number of orders per month, and that limit has always been part of the free plan. There has never been a lifetime plan for the core app. Even when an account is over that limit, the AliExpress order reports and invoices stay fully accessible. Only the store's profit dashboard asks for an upgrade.
Every email we received about this got a reply, with a detailed answer to each point and steps to keep using the extension with no order cap and no upgrade prompt. We haven't heard back since our last email, but the offer to go through the account together still stands at support@profitario.com.
