We have been using QuoteMachine for the last month. I am so impressed with how easy it is to use. I love that I can customize our invoices, and there is no guessing game when it comes to seeing where we stand financially. The dashboard displays all the information I need right there. I highly recommend QuoteMachine! Their customer support is top notch. I wish we would have found this product sooner!!

The concept is great and it has some very useful functionality so I really wanted this app to work out. There are a couple of quirky design issues that you need to work around - like not being able to edit an invoice after it's been sent (actually the system allows you to do this but the data gets all messed up in Shopify).

The biggest issue is the integration with Shopify. It creates two orders for every invoice - one when the invoice is sent to the customer and a second order when the invoice is paid. At first, QuoteMachine cancelled the second order automatically but after a while it stopped doing this leaving me with duplicate orders for every invoice. I tried to get this fixed several times but the issue persisted. Once there are duplicate orders, you're stuck with them because QuoteMachine can't fix the issue in Shopify and Shopify won't allow you to cancel or delete an order without refunding the money to the customer. I eventually realized that in both scenarios, my data in Shopify is all messed up and I have had to go through all of the transactions to manually identify the duplicates and record the issues. Hopefully I don't get audited because the whole thing is a mess.

Processing partial refunds also proved to be problematic. QuoteMachine recorded the refund as processed but it did not actually happen. I reached out to their support line and after a few days of the issue still not being resolved, I had to send the customer an e-transfer.

In terms of their support chat, the quality all depends on who responds. Some reps were very knowledgeable while others really require more training. There's also an issue with follow through. If a problem doesn't get resolved with the rep on duty, you have to start over with someone else.

It's really a shame that this app doesn't work with Shopify. If you can use it as a stand-alone app, then go for it. It will probably do a good job for you.

I have to say quote machine has really stepped up our appearance. The quotes are very clean and a lot more advanced looking than anything else I have tried. Also customers love they can pay direct from the quotes. Also all the people at quote machine are awesome. We have had them do some seriously custom stuff for us and they implement it with no issues.

I can't say enough good stuff about the app or the people behind it. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
