Strong Warning – Do NOT Install This App (GOGOS.io)

I strongly advise against installing GOGOS.io on any live Shopify store.

Before even considering this app, test it only on a development or test store, and carefully read the negative reviews from merchants who were harmed by it — myself included.

I am a Shopify developer, and this is one of the worst app experiences I have encountered on the Shopify ecosystem.

Critical and Dangerous Issues
• When I configured a Buy 1 Get 1 (same product) Free – auto add to cart offer, the app automatically created 157 fake/dummy products inside my store.
• These products were not real, had no SKU, and were silently injected into my product list and orders.
• As a result:
• Orders contained ghost products with no tracking or inventory reference.
• The storefront UI broke, showing blank product pages due to forced redirects created by the app.
• The app redirected users to these fake product URLs, effectively damaging the storefront experience.

Misleading Support & Lack of Transparency
• I contacted support before creating the promotion, and at no point was I informed that:
• The app would generate dummy products.
• The promotion would apply to 157 duplicated items.
• These products would be required to keep orders functional.
• Once orders were created, I was told that removing or modifying those fake products would break existing orders — effectively locking my store into corrupted data.

Unprofessional Workarounds
• Instead of proper fixes, support suggested absurd “workarounds” such as:
• Duplicating the same discount 7 times
• Enabling and disabling discounts repeatedly
• These are not solutions — they are signs of a deeply flawed system.

Support is polite and friendly on the surface, but the outcome is loss of time, money, and store stability.

Final Verdict
This review reflects my experience with only two features of the app. I cannot imagine the potential damage caused by the rest of its so-called features.

It is alarming that Shopify labels this app as “Built for Shopify”. In reality, this app:
• Violates basic Shopify data integrity principles
• Creates hidden, destructive side effects
• Puts merchants at serious operational risk

This app does not belong on the Shopify App Store.

Avoid it entirely.
