ShipZip handles delivery rules nothing else could, and the team backs it up
We sell bulk landscaping materials and our delivery logic is very specific: each material travels on its own truck, a load caps at 8 m³, quantities are per cubic metre, one product only gets charged when it ships on its own, and we run three postcode zones at different base rates. ShipZip is the only app we found flexible enough to express all of that. Our development team built the rule set ourselves — around 30 SKUs across three zones with per-SKU quantity tiers and rate modifiers on top — and the numbers come out right at checkout every time.
Where the Cirkle Studio team earned the five stars is everything the app can't yet do on its own. Zone duplication isn't available in the interface, so Sid duplicated our three zones (with rates) for us, which is what let us build and test a new configuration and then transition the store onto it with no downtime and no risk to live orders. Rate modifiers were specified across every per-product rule in all three zones, and they helped us clean up a checkout labelling detail straight after. Same-day responses throughout, and clear about what the app could and couldn't do rather than talking us into a setup that wouldn't hold.
One wish for the roadmap: zone duplication and bulk import/export of rates in the app itself. That's the only genuinely manual part of running a setup this size, and right now it depends on support doing it for you.
Highly recommended if your shipping rules are more complicated than weight brackets.
