The Shopping Gives app is incredibly intuitive and allows a seamless process of having your customers give to the charity of your choice. I am also very impressed with their leadership. Ronny Sage, the Founder was incredibly helpful to me and my wife as we embarked on a new business. He answered questions at all hours and really helped us get launched. Can’t say enough good things about Ronny and Shopping Gives; many thanks!
I decided to give this app a try regardless of some of the negative reviews, considering how bleak the world is right now. Here’s what I think so far.
The app gives you the option to select your own orgs to automatically donate to, or let your customers choose from a selected list. If you want your customers to be able to choose, the app only lets you select 6, but they have a default org “Farmland Project” that you are not allowed to remove from this list unless you upgrade to the $595/month plan… So you can only really select 5 of your choice OR not give your customers the freedom to choose which org they want to donate to. Forcing you to have this particular org on the list really does not sit well with me. I also think the .5% transaction fee for every order total is ridiculous.
You also have to upgrade to the $595/month plan choose from the majority of the non-profit options. This app charging so much to allow brands to donate makes no sense to me. Since when did donating become an exclusive club only brands with a lot of money are capable of doing? This app is not “supporting impact", it's pay-to-play philanthropy. Beyond disappointed. We'll be looking for something else.

Loved this app. It worked so well for us until they started charging a monthly fee that is quite expensive for our small business. We loved that this app allowed us to donate a percentage of sales to local charities and would continue to stay but the fee is too expensive for us!

We've been utilizing ShoppingGives for a few years now, and have been happy with how easily it allows us to run giving campaigns. The integration is seamless, the backend is straightforward to use, and support has been lightning fast and helpful when we've had questions (The CEO even called me personally to help troubleshoot a time-sensitive sync issue on our end).
We have been using this app for the the past two months in our retail store and launched our online campaign this month. The Shopping Gives team is very responsive to any questions we have regarding installation and configuring the app as well working with to help set up the non-profits we want to support to ensure they are receiving their donations. Very supportive team and great to work with overall!
Updated. Their customer service can take up to 24 hours to respond and they have since reached out several times to help resolve our issues.
I had this app for a little bit before they started charging and don't get me wrong I think it's a great app but the reason I'm giving it 2 stars is that I HATE that they started charging out of nowhere. I'm still figuring out how to get sales in my store and I'm not gonna pay 29$ a month when I'm getting 1 sale a month. It makes no sense. What would make more sense is if they required me to pay after a bigger amount of sales or after making a certain amount of profit. Once I have a lot of sales I wouldn't mind paying at all. It's a great app but only worth it once you get sales and if I still had the donation part of it, I might get more sales. But I can't afford it until I get sales. See how difficult it is for us small business owners? So I'm gonna have to go with a different app, which stinks.

I love the ability to give back both financially and with my time, as now a mother of 4 I am unable to pay it forward with in person contributions. As the founder of bemybreastfriend, both social media and e-commerce, I am able to donate back to my favorite non profits. ShoppingGives has made this possible and the process is so easy. This app is powerful and easy to set up. We had special requirements for our store and after a quick call, they quickly updated the app to accommodate our needs.
