It does the job but with some effort. Has a few annoying features which can't be changed - like grouping different people into one booking because they booked at the same time - so if one customer wants to reschedule you have to remove them and add them back in. This grouping also caused customers being emailed other peoples reminders. I've had to take off the option to book multiple customers at the same time because of this. Support email once a day and barely answer the question so 1 issue takes a couple days to resolve. Would probably recommend for a small business that doesn't get many bookings, but I was dealing with 2 branches and over 300 appointments a day. ***UPDATED REVIEW
Thought I'd post an updated seeing as I have been using the app for over 4 months now. (Previously rated 3/5, now 1/5)
Help desk is probably the worst I've encountered. - Too many issues around bookings not being placed in the calendar (even though customer has paid), - Tipo not receiving the date and time of booking, leaving the customer having paid but with no actual booking - very bad start on the customer journey. - Customers receiving incorrect information in emails - i.e. after I have rescheduled an appointment for them, the dates in the email received by the customer would be completely incorrect. Customer would then email me in a panic. Spoke to help desk and they told me to check my email notifications :), not sure how that fixes anything... I am looking into other alternatives as I'm having too many issues with Tipo.
The app is very easy to install and configure. The only short coming is some of the lack of design features or I would have given it 5 stars. The features that are there are plenty useful though and everything work as expected.
We've been using Tipo for the last couple of years.......initially for Flu Vaccination appts. As we used and built trust in the app, we now use it for a variety of other appt based services.....which in turn has helped us increase business as we offer an easy "book online" click... Support from Tipo has been exemplary,,,,,,we had a recent issue which, once reported, was rectified quickly - with great communication throughout.....busy Flu season coming up now - booking appts via a trusted source in now one less thing to worry about.....highly recommend this app.
we found this app a little difficult to start with - more down to our low-level of tech knowledge, however we reached out for support. The support given was great and we were quickly using the booking system for our framing service during the pandemic. It worked really well.
Well designed and easy to implement. Very happy to recommend it. Very impressed with the customer support provided. We have been using it for 2 years now, very happy customer! Also we have asked for some variations and improvements and they were implemented in no time all!!!
Overall this app is very useful. It's a bit confusing to navigate but it gets the job done. It's a great addition to my online store!
We needed a booking app quickly after restrictions on bars were lifted - as a small venue we had to book the space out as "private hire". This app was great, simple to set up and add to the web site and we can add the appointments to my email calendar too. We didn't need anything too complicated and this fitted the bill with clear tutorials. When "product" was changed to "services" I needed some help to edit and got a fairly quick response.
Because it's free, it is OK. I'd happily pay a fee for someone to help me to go over some settings and make it more advanced. It's not quite straight forward.
