We use Zapier to import our customer contact information into Zoho CRM / Zoho Books. It saves us a lot of time adding our web orders into our bookkeeping. We do not pull the actual order details (items/prices), just contact info. The contact information is the most time consuming part of the bookkeeping. Recommended as a time saving tool.
This is a great app for us. We have it connected to our Infusionsoft account, eliminating double entry of our new customers (as well as our repeat customers' orders); we use Buffer to tweet and post our new products we're uploading to Shopify (70,000 of them over the next three months); and we use Wufoo outside of Shopify to connect to Infusionsoft to add new leads that come in. We're a small business with an eye towards automation, and Zapier fits the bill for us really, really, well.
The product is great, and the team is great. We use Zapier to post products to twitter, Tumblr (via a Zap from Shopify to Gmail), Buffer (to post to Google Plus), and even to allow Mandrill to get a fresh, individual discount code for new Mail Chimp subscribers. And I've run into a couple of situations where I didn't know how to do something and when I described what I was trying to do the support team essentially figured it out for me.
I highly recommend Zapier to anyone on Shopify.
I'm far from being any kind of developer but I was able to easily create several zaps that work correctly. Very easy to use. When I've had questions or something hasn't worked the way I thought it should, their customer support has been very responsive and helpful.
A good, albeit a bit pricy for a small store, solution to automatise some tasks. We use it to export Shopify orders to a google spreadsheet for simple accounting, tweet new products and add new email addresses to Mailchimp.
When Zapier will have support for Etsy then it will really kick ass. :)
Zapier is an amazing product that brings all of our different platforms together. Their interface gives us access to incredibly powerful functionality in a way that is easy to understand and use without technical expertise.
Makes life so much easier. Let alone the hundreds of apps it integrates to.
Couple things, I LOVE this whole thing. Its like IFTT on sterioids. ONE issue is, you can automate an order to auto print which is pretty bad @ss, but the problem is IT WONT print out the Order Print like how you do it manually. You get a really ugly layout, it works but it could be much better if they utilize all of the API possibilities. They need to make it so it can be more shopify implementation. I dont see why they couldnt use the option of printing via order printer. Or maybe even some html coding for the layout.
Another issue is for quanity is in , so lets say they order 5 reds and 6 blues, in item line is shows what they ordered, then next line shows quantity: 5,6
Everything works fine. I use for posting of new goods in social networks
We use Zapier to integrate Shopify with our CRM and it works wonderful! Contact information is auto populated which has made our workflow more efficient!
