If you have variables set up under your product list and each of those variables means shipping more boxes, this is the only app that I've found (and I've tried quite a few) that will work. My system used to calculate 5 boxes at 10 lbs. each, as simply one item at 50 lbs. However, there is a huge price discrepancy between shipping one item at 50 lbs. and 5 items at 10 lbs. Advanced Shipping has fixed my problem and I couldn't be happier. In addition, the support I received from them was amazing. I have no programming experience whatsoever, however, Burt was able to walk me through the process and made it easy for me to understand. At $75 per month, the app is expensive, but well worth it, because it's going to save me money in shipping costs.

Shipping a refrigerated and dry product line across the country is not a "simple logic" task. ASM offered friendly support, useful suggestions, and a scale-able solution that helps to expand the logic and build dimension into our web pricing structure. Most importantly, it's reasonably priced, does what it claims to, and is simple to use. It will win the year for us, this year, for web sales.
App works great and the service is top notch! Adds a lot of customization ability that you can't pull off via Shopify's built-in features.

This shipping app is the best one I have ever seen. We are able to offer shipping delivery quotes as "get it by" and we can have a lot of customizations that make our customers so happy and they make us so happy! The app developers spent a lot of time helping me learn the system and getting everything right for my store. We are flying along now - love this - you have to get it! Thank you!!!!!
We have a very unique business in that we sell large volumetric items as well as live goods. Burt was able to solve all our problems. We have 3 different shipping origins and depending on what the customer orders it can consist of dry goods from one origin, live goods from another that requires overnight, and other dry goods from another origin.
I highly recommend Advanced Shipping Manager for those who have more than 1 origin, or just have tricky shipping. The customer service is above and beyond our expectations. We had a sale over the weekend and our shipping methods were not setup properly. Wrote a quick email and they were able to fix the problem!

Impossible to set up this app as a simple app. It's more like a quiz game and the developer charges you extra money to help you set up the rules. Potato quality interface and horrible usability. I wasted one month on this dumb interface.

We are sorry to learn you do not like our interface. We always strive to simplify and improve our UI and will always continue doing so. That said, our app handles even the most complex shipping scenarios (such as the ones you requested to setup in your store), and in such cases it is sometimes impossible to simplify the interface to accommodate those setups.
According to our ticketing system, you contacted our support team nine different times between June to September (long before you even installed our app), including international calls our team gladly initiated, but never did we charge you a fee other than the one you are paying for the app. If you requested any custom development, we do accommodate those requests as well and provide a quote.
We are happy to learn that you chose to keep our app in your store, and we see that everything was setup to your satisfaction. Hopefully, after using our app and utilizing our support team - your impression will change.
I can't say enough about Advanced Shipping Manager. We just started using it and it has been everything we have been looking for in a shipping app. ASM immediately solved our biggest headache when it came to shipping ... proper box selection. I can say without hesitation this app will more than pay for itself for us just by quoting shipping rates for the correct box. I am confident that with the 'points system' we will no longer have orders where we lose money on shipping because the rate was quoted on a smaller box than we actually had to use. The customer service has been great. Burt was very thorough in the on-boarding process. And, Dan has been tremendous to work with on a few follow up questions since implementation.
Support is great and generally quick to reply. Burt and Dan are responsive to questions and getting platform set up.
Here is the drawback to this app with Shopify, if you set a free shipping threshold, say $35, and a customer purchases $35 worth of goods and then uses for example a 10% coupon code, the order net drops below the free shipping threshold and customer should pay shipping. ASM does not recognize the discount from Shopify so the app offers free shipping when it should not. They have a field where you can ignore coupons in the app, but does not work for Shopify and AMS says this due to how Shopify sends the info to them. There is a possible workaround they are looking into but not available yet. This is a big deal and can be costly, so hope it gets worked on soon, otherwise may need to look for another solution.
