UPDATE: After working with and allowing access to my store to Booster Apps they claim they can not replicate the issues I am experiencing. It was elevated to tier 2 support and I was contacted. I sent several videos of my screen and the flickering and flashing of the APP inside Shopify Admin. Nothing wrong with my browser as I cleared cookies several times and they suggested using Chrome browser and that is what I use. I have no other choice but to uncompress all the images you compressed and remove the app from my theme and store.
When will the app be fixed? I am really thinking I made a mistake using this app. It is checking override boxes on Titles, descriptions and also checking NO INDEX on my products this will damage my SEO.

I read your recent app store review and we are very to sorry to hear about not seeing any results from our app. 😔
So our app applies its SEO improvements right away to your site's code, but the whole SEO process is longer (getting higher search engine rankings, and eventually increased traffic). Here are a few things to keep in mind:
It can take Google up to several weeks to index your site's new information, so you won't immediately see changes from the app in Google search results. However, you may be able to speed up the process by following Google's official recommendations for requesting your site to be recrawled (updated in Google results).
It takes even longer than that for SEO to start making a significant impact on your site traffic and sales: 4 to 6 months on average. This is not due to our app being slow, but it's because of how Google and other search engines track SEO. SEO is definitely a long-term effort.
How high up your site appears in Google search results is impossible to control directly, since Google is the one who determines that by taking into account hundreds of factors, including off-page SEO that humans (not apps) must do, such as backlinks from other sites to your pages. For best results, make sure you work on off-page SEO while our app takes care of your on-page SEO.

After trying this app for a few hours and discovering massive bug, we removed it. And guess what... It removed ALL meta titles and tags and descriptions from our store! Like all, everything is gone - the worst app ever. DO NOT USE.
Beware of a massive bug for multi-lingual stores!
If you activate the automated URL rewrite, the App will rewrite the original URLs to SEO optimized ones BUT it will not add the redirects for your different language URLs. For example it will not add a redirect for an /de/products/* - which means that you will end up with new URLs for your whole German, French or whatever additional language you are using without redirecting the old product urls to them. So basically it will destroy your SEO.
Be careful with automations. Also renaming image files can lead to very weird and way too long names.
Would not recommend.

It certainly can be a challenge navigating through various apps and platforms in multi-lingual environments. And certainly aggravating when they don't work as expected. I'm sorry you have experienced this with our app.
There are many possible variables to account for in supporting apps in this environment. As our Merchant Success team shared, certain limitations are in place within the current app version to support a parallel to your current multi-language configuration. The app was simply not designed to support the configuration you have in place. Thus, prompting the unexpected behavior you experienced.
Please note that URL Optimization is a technique/process under which we optimize the URL structure of a website page in order to make the web page more understandable for search engine crawlers. Our URL optimization feature will change the URL of a product based on its product title. Because it changes the URL, if you have customers that have saved the previous URL and tried to access it, then it will lead to a 404 page or broken link. When a URL appears in Broken Links, it does not necessarily come from a broken link on your site. It just means that someone tried to visit that URL on your site, but there is no page for that URL - this is kinda expected if we will optimize a URL or change it, which is what URL Optimization does.

Also, the reason why your meta-titles and descriptions are not showing is that they are commented out to avoid conflicting meta tags as once the app is installed, the optimized meta tags from our app will be used. You can easily restore or remove our app's code a by copying all the contents of theme-backup-booster-seo.liquid to your theme.liquid file. For image renaming optimization, our app also has the ability to choose which template or variables to use. Example: Product type, Product Vendor, Product Title, etc.

We first ran in to issues when compressing out store images (it got stuck at about half way) - this was resolved by the dev team within a few days.
Unfortunately we then ran in to a similar issue when renaming the alt tags of our images, it wasn't clear which images had been renamed and which hadn't andthe ap seemed to get stuck in a constant loop. We reached out to support who were particuarly unhelpful this time, however they did say we could have a refund.
We've since emailed the support team requesting a refund, we haven't had a reply, wouldn't recommend.

Regarding the refund, I am afraid we can only issue refunds if it was already paid, however, since the charge is still unpaid, only Shopify can reverse this charge. We have gone ahead and sent a request to Shopify to reverse the charge, we will provide you an update as soon as we receive one from them.

As a 14-year SEO, I've used many utilities for my own personal sites as well as for my clients. I had done in-depth research prior to suggesting this application to my client, this seemed to have been the best. However, I've experienced a series of failures on behalf of the team of Booster. Image compression only gets done one day out of the week, and as of now, my client has yet to get image compression done, even after many, many emails back and forth with the company. Many promises were made, but none were kept. My client depends on my work and my suggestions, and when a company I put faith in drops the ball, my agency's reputation is on the line. I've done my best to work with them on a number of related issues, but none have worked out. All these glam reviews you see are mostly from someone's "chat experience", and not the experience from the utility itself. I have had to work many hours each week to compensate for the lackluster utility, will be removing it the moment I get my client's site perfect again, within days. Lastly, do not use the URL optimization tool. This will create all new URLs and redirects. I never touched it, nor will I ever. Thats when the shadiness of this app was truly revealed...when you delete this app it changes all of the code in your backend so your website is no longer crawlable. I have the program semrush and the day before I added the app all was fine...then when I deleted the app semrush reported that I no longer have ANY meta descriptions(extremely bad), it cannot read any of my titles or headings and there is new code we did not add "arrow fat left icon" which SPECIFICALLY blocks our website from being crawled properly...THIS IS EXTREMELY BAD FOR YOUR BUSINESS

I read your recent app store review and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. 😔
Regarding the payment for the app's plan, our app operates on a subscription basis. The reason your improvements do not "stick" when you uninstall the app is that the data cannot be stored by Shopify, but we must store them on our servers. The monthly subscription covers that and other costs associated with the app's ongoing functionality, such as monitoring your store for new and updated products, keeping your SEO code up to date, and funding support and development work on the app.
Also when you uninstalled the app, it will only remove the meta tags created by the app and default meta tags from your theme will stay.
There are cases when most SEO apps are uninstalled, the app can't auto-remove its code snippet because it no longer has access to your theme files. All SEO apps on the app store also leave the theme's page title and meta description commented out, for the same reason. Our app actually creates a backup copy of your theme.liquid folder, so that you can use it to revert your theme back to its state before you installed our app.
I'm sorry if this was not more clear in our app's documentation. In case you need assistance in cleaning up these codes our support team is always available 24/7 to assist you on live chat and email.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It will destroy your store. It changed all the links for my products and caused
broken links. When i contacted them about it i was told the app should not of done that and someone will contact me.right away. 2 days later they emailed me and said there is nothing they can do. So many better apps out there. Don’t risk your store.

Our app actually has the "Revert all" button that can revert all the changes it made with your product URLs.
Please note that URL Optimization is a technique/process under which we optimize the URL structure of a website page in order to make the web page more understandable for search engine crawlers. Our URL optimization feature will change the URL of a product based on its product title. Because it changes the URL, if you have customers that have saved the previous URL and tried to access it, then it will lead to a 404 page or broken link. When a URL appears in Broken Links, it does not necessarily come from a broken link on your site. It just means that someone tried to visit that URL on your site, but there is no page for that URL - this is kinda expected if we will optimize a URL or change it, which is what URL Optimization does.
Often the old links/URLs are on an entirely different site, which is the case if you used them for backlinks, which will also lead to 404 pages if you changed the URL.
Whatever the cause of a broken link, no harm is done to your SEO as long as the nonexistent page has a redirect to an existing page on your site—and our app takes care of that automatically with our broken links redirect feature. 👍

Have not seen anything on the sales part. And my meta tag scan always shows as something wrong and then everything else says its not wrong. currently looking for another app

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't seen any improvement in your sales since installing our app. Just want to clarify that the purpose of our app is to improve your SEO (and therefore your traffic and sales) over time. However, SEO improvement is a gradual, long-term process because of how Google and other search engines work.
- It takes Google up to several weeks to update its listings of your pages, so changes from the app do not immediately appear in Google results.
- It takes even longer for SEO to start making an impact on your site traffic and sales: 4 to 6 months on average, because of how search engines track SEO.
So any changes due to our app cannot have had any effect on your traffic or sales at this point(the app was just installed last month).
Regarding the meta tag issues you mentioned, we would be happy to help you out with those, we sent you an email so that we can start working on it.

I was unable to test the app. As soon as I activated the monthly subscription it crashed with a server error. I contacted the developer who failed, in a short time, to resolve. Shopify customer service also intervened. I uninstalled the app because I lost confidence. Monstrously slow loading configuration pages. I don't understand how he manages to get all these positive feedbacks!
