I would like to thank the app owner for reaching out personally and work together to fix the issues and make the app better. Great CS, no doubt.
Too many limitations and way too much $$$/month
The worst? I have been trying to clean up the left over code after the app failed to uninstall properly. I don't have a store so that I can waste my time to clean up the code left over by an app.
We offer theme uninstallation at no cost on request. I just sent you an email with next steps. (I tried calling as well but your store's phone number doesn't connect.)
Extremely disappointed! I've spent 3 hours figuring out how to publish the campaign but I couldn't figure it out. It was such a frustration for me.
oh no! we're sorry that happened to you. If you email support@ethercycle.com with what you're trying to do, we'll troubleshoot the issue, and record you a screencast running through how to set up your campaign.
EDIT: I found part of the problem: The email address we had for you (s*****t@***.com) is undeliverable. Our proactive onboarding/support emails never made it to you. I called the number we had for you and left a voicemail, hopefully it gets to you.
Setup is easy. I am trying to pre-sell my ebook and I need a separate plug-in for that. After the campaign is done there is no way I can send a download link to my customers.
Hi Ian, you're right, Crowdfunder does not change how orders are fulfilled. To fulfill a digital download like an ebook automatically, we recommend using Crowdfunder with Shopify's free Digital Downloads app. Hope that helps. -k.

I'm really sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with creating a new campaign in Crowdfunder. I understand how frustrating that can be.
I'm more than happy to help resolve this problem for you. To provide a clear timeline, you installed the app at 3:15 am our local time, gave a 1-star review half an hour later, and raised a support ticket at 3:54 am. We initiated an investigation at 6 am and estimated to resolve the issue within the same day.

Easy to use. I am trying how professionally the site looks like so there is more reliability for supporters to fund.
We uninstalled the app and a campaign still stayed on the product page. Thank goodness we made a duplicate of our theme. Needs more functionality for the price. Should have more options. It does EXACTLY what it showcases on the demo and that's about it. It is not worth the money, in our opinion.

To protect merchants from mistakes and bad actors, when uninstalling an app in Shopify, all apps simply lose their access to your store. No code is changed or removed on uninstall. For Crowdfunder, we have a quick solution: re-install Crowdfunder to restart your free trial, delete your existing campaigns, then uninstall Crowdfunder again. (You should have received an email with these instructions immediately on uninstall as well.)
As for the app doing exactly what its advertised to do and nothing more, our policy for choosing new features is to to pick the ones which will bring the most value to as many of our customers as possible. We're a really small team with a long list of ideas. If you'd like to submit a feature request, we'll try to add your feature after we've received a few other similar requests.

We needed to quickly set up a fundraiser and we used this app. It was so easy to use and actually helped motivate people to donate. I totally recommend this app for fundraisers, donation or crowdfunding. Also the support is awesome too.
