Not compatible with Pixel Union Empire theme which is a major theme. In order to have the "Built for Shopify" designation, the list of incompatible themes is extremely lengthy. Unable to use the app unless we migrate to a new theme on the compatibility list.
We checked and the app is compatible with Empire. The issue in your store is interference from other apps. Please check your email for a detailed reply. Thank you.
We are using the Back In Stock notification feature, and it handles our need completely!
1. The invitation on the product page, for the shopper to request being notified, looks great and is customizable in terms of look and text.
2. During our testing we received our notifications within seconds of marking an item back in stock.
3. The notification email is also customizable including your company logo.
4. When we first started using the feature, I had a couple questions and suggestions for improvement. Jake answered the questions very quickly (within an hour or two) and the development team added my suggestions to their next release which happily was same day!!
Convenient and straight forward to use. Support staff are very helpful in a timely manner.
Found this app to be very useful. Started with the free plan, just upgraded to a paid plan. Support is very responsive.
nice
removing existing preorders dosent work, i have to manually delete the tag.

The support staff were extremely helpful in trying to rectify the issues. Promptly integrated a new feature to sync which has made it easier to sync new variants without having to redo lots of work. The only reason for 1 less star is because the glitch caused initially is still undetermined to why it happened which cost us many hours to fix. Regardless, it is now rectified and we appreciate the support and attention to detail.

lots of glitches, and I'm not the only one experiencing it based on other reviews! have to conistently redo it all the time. will not show variants 50% of the time, and have to go through many hoops to get it done. not happy at all and considering switching.
simple easy to use
Stopped working, very buggy, many issues, after a year of using, i've finally had to give up as just doesn't work anymore. I set the variants I want for pre order, but instead it changes every vairant on that product even though those variants aren't in their list, is the most recent issue, this app has issues time and time again, save time and stress and just go for another.
It doesn't work with any product that has variants. I sent them an email with the exact bit of code that just needs to be added to their pre-order button (which should be something I can add myself in the custom CSS settings), but they refused, and told me I should change my theme to one of their approved themes.
I mean, obviously I'm not going to change our entire store's theme to get their simple app to work... that's a given. But I was shocked at their response. I have been using Shopify apps for ten years (maybe more?) and I am always delighted at the responses I get from other app developers, who are more than happy to tweak a bit of code to get their app working for you. Not these guys! They just don't care.
What a silly app - I think I will just go in and write a bit of liquid code to change the button name to 'pre-order' if the product is tagged as a pre-order, then click the button for shopify to keep selling when the item is out of stock. This should be simple enough, and then I don't have to pay EZ PreOrder $$ every month for their lazy attitude.
Hello,
We have refunded all of your app charges. For clarification, our app uses the shopify theme app extension, meaning we deploy the code to shopify and that is what is run on all user stores. If we make changes to that code, it impacts all stores, not just one. So we're unable to change certain specific things on specific stores. The app uses css selectors to locate your add to cart button and swap it out with ours. This isn't a blanket custom css section, it is only used for locating the add to cart button. The way your theme is coded, the variant ID does not dynamically refresh on variant switch, which is why the button doesn't work properly with variants. Most themes that follow the standard shopify theme guidelines do dynamically refresh the variant ID. Which is what we built the app to be compatible with since this is the majority of themes. Unfortunately anything making changes to the front end of your store will not be compatible with 100% of themes. And our app was built for ease of setup, which has its upsides but the downside is lack of customizability/compatibility. But this was a design choice as we found many other apps to be too confusing to use, so we sacrificed some compatibility for simplicity. We're sorry the app isn't compatible with your current theme and we hope to expand compatibility with themes that do not dynamically refresh the variant ID in the future. I've also sent you a detailed explanation of why the app is incompatible directly to the support email thread. Please check that.
