Real mixed bag here. Flow has become an integral part of how we operate our store but my god is it frustrating to use at times. I'm here today writing this review out of frustration at recent depreciations. Flow needs to warn us when things are changing instead of just pushing out updates and letting us find out when we go to create new flows or update old ones. I know there is a five star app here but it needs work to show it. Giving it 4 stars because the app is capable of a lot and I'm glad we have it despite the rough edges.
Hi thanks for the review. Regarding deprecations, we would love to know what deprecations have affected you as Flow itself have very few of those, but Flow must handle changes as Shopify changes the API over time.
We are deeply concerned about Shopify’s transition to Shopify Flow for abandoned cart emails, which has significantly impacted merchants operating in multiple languages. The previous notification system handled multilingual workflows seamlessly, allowing businesses to provide localized experiences for their customers. However, Shopify Flow lacks native multilanguage support, forcing merchants to adopt a more complex and less effective solution. This abrupt change disrupts established workflows, increases the effort required to manage simple tasks, and risks alienating customers who receive communications in the wrong language. We urge Shopify to reintroduce native multilanguage capabilities or provide flexibility to continue using the previous system, ensuring that all merchants can maintain high standards of customer engagement and trust.
Helpful app. must use to save time and creating task with logic.
A Must-Have for Streamlining Daily Operations!
The Shopify Flow app is packed with huge features that make daily operations a breeze through powerful automation. When I first started using Shopify, I overlooked the Flow app, assuming it was just for sending automated emails for abandoned checkouts or similar tasks. But as I delved deeper into its capabilities, I realized it's truly a game-changer. It has saved me countless hours by automating workflows I hadn’t even considered initially.
This app is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated tools in Shopify’s ecosystem—many users likely don’t realize how much it can do. With a little creativity, you can unlock its full potential and see how much easier it makes managing your store. I highly recommend taking the time to explore everything Shopify Flow offers—you won’t be disappointed!
Hi, thanks for the review. We are really happy that you are getting value out of Flow.
I contacted DSers for a couple questions and Zico answered me , he was able to direct me to the right pages to resolve my problems , he was a big help and i apprciat him. Thank you .
This flow app works great. If you every think it does not then you need to retrace the flow and see what the issue is. I set up for hiding out of stock items for a certain supplier and noticed it was not acting as expected and the documentation told me where the condition became false. Using this tool I realized it was because I had not tagged those products with the suppliers identity yet. A real duh moment. For current users and new users, keep this in mind because this app is great and works as expected.
Exactly what I needed for setting up rules for certain conditions, including fraud, and other conditions. Thank you Shopify!
Abandoned checkouts doesn't work, I get the error that the customer is not signed up to marketing.. I don't require my customers to sign up for marketing emails, with no option to just send a simple email, this app is pretty much useless for my store.
Hi, Abandoned Checkout is a Marketing Automation feature and not a Flow feature. That said, you may want to review the documentation for Abandoned Checkout https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/promoting-marketing/create-marketing/marketing-automations/types. If you edit the email, you do have the option to send it to all customers, not just those subscribed to marketing.
Update: I will try resetting the notification and hope this resolves the issue. Thank you!
Hi thanks for the review. If Flow cancelled the order, Flow has no control over that email. You can edit the Cancel order email template in the Admin settings, so I'd guess that someone in your shop did that and messed it up. If you can't find the issue, I'd recommend contacting Shopify support. Also, in the future, if you have a Flow question, try over on the community instead of via a review. This doesn't allow a back and forth. https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow
NIGHTMARE... I very rarely right reviews and negative ones at that. I have never found something that should be so simple a challenge. Shopify staff can't help because we can't speak to them directly. If you want automations for emails and sales, I would spend your time with another program. I have spent to much time on something so simple, with very little success.
