A Must-Have for Streamlining Daily Operations!
The Shopify Flow app is packed with huge features that make daily operations a breeze through powerful automation. When I first started using Shopify, I overlooked the Flow app, assuming it was just for sending automated emails for abandoned checkouts or similar tasks. But as I delved deeper into its capabilities, I realized it's truly a game-changer. It has saved me countless hours by automating workflows I hadn’t even considered initially.
This app is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated tools in Shopify’s ecosystem—many users likely don’t realize how much it can do. With a little creativity, you can unlock its full potential and see how much easier it makes managing your store. I highly recommend taking the time to explore everything Shopify Flow offers—you won’t be disappointed!
Hi, thanks for the review. We are really happy that you are getting value out of Flow.
This flow app works great. If you every think it does not then you need to retrace the flow and see what the issue is. I set up for hiding out of stock items for a certain supplier and noticed it was not acting as expected and the documentation told me where the condition became false. Using this tool I realized it was because I had not tagged those products with the suppliers identity yet. A real duh moment. For current users and new users, keep this in mind because this app is great and works as expected.
Update: I will try resetting the notification and hope this resolves the issue. Thank you!
Hi thanks for the review. If Flow cancelled the order, Flow has no control over that email. You can edit the Cancel order email template in the Admin settings, so I'd guess that someone in your shop did that and messed it up. If you can't find the issue, I'd recommend contacting Shopify support. Also, in the future, if you have a Flow question, try over on the community instead of via a review. This doesn't allow a back and forth. https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow
Abandoned checkouts doesn't work, I get the error that the customer is not signed up to marketing.. I don't require my customers to sign up for marketing emails, with no option to just send a simple email, this app is pretty much useless for my store.
Hi, Abandoned Checkout is a Marketing Automation feature and not a Flow feature. That said, you may want to review the documentation for Abandoned Checkout https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/promoting-marketing/create-marketing/marketing-automations/types. If you edit the email, you do have the option to send it to all customers, not just those subscribed to marketing.
Difficult to manage, unclear information whether the flows works or not, no saved notifications what flows have been sent out or used.
NIGHTMARE... I very rarely right reviews and negative ones at that. I have never found something that should be so simple a challenge. Shopify staff can't help because we can't speak to them directly. If you want automations for emails and sales, I would spend your time with another program. I have spent to much time on something so simple, with very little success.
Exactly what I needed for setting up rules for certain conditions, including fraud, and other conditions. Thank you Shopify!
When it works, it can be beneficial but it doesn't work often, and the support for this app is useless. When you speak with Shopify support, no one seems to know or understand the app.
I built a flow that should hold fulfillment orders when a product type it added to an order. Sometimes the flow works, and sometimes it says "Hold fulfillment order
Succeeded" but it didn't succeed when you look at the actual order. And no one knows how to help. It's sad because it could be an excellent app!
Hi, thanks for your review. We are sorry about your frustration with Shopify support. We recommend always trying to ask first on Flow's community forums: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow.
For holds, if Flow says that it held fulfillment, it did. But what can happen is that other apps or workflows can release that hold just as quickly. If you need more detail, consider trying to post on the community.
For some things this works great! For others I am scratching my head as to why it won't. For example, I can take products by vender and add them to a manual collection for use in the tax exclusion zones since for some reason an automatic collection isn't allowed. Works great. But when I want to send an email to a customer that is imported with the tag eBay I am having trouble finding an option to just send a simple email out with a basic text. I have tried using Mail as well but it wants a template and then it adds it to a marketing list but that is not what I want to do. Just a simple email. The last issue is that I have other people adding products and I only want certain vendors products to be available in say Canada. There are options to hide products from channels for example, but nothing to remove the product from a market such as Canada. So you have to remember to select this every time every product any employee adds or it defaults to add it to the Canada market. Very frustrating. Maybe with a few updates this flow app could be really useful. But it is just missing a few variables here and there and functions to be as useful as I was expecting. Seeing as how most of my flows are fixing issues that Shopify has created such as not allowing me to use an auto collection for tax exclusions, I have to use this app. Since they default to add new products to all markets, I need to use a flow to fix it. So really it is annoying that I cannot do what I want to have done.
