Terrible, my GMC account was suspended for "misrepresentation". I asked over and over what they meant by that, how and what did I misrepresent about the product/s? never a clear answer, or answer that I could use to fix things. So after a few months of this nonsense setting up twice over only to be suspended again, I refused to continue trying, I refused to jump through unnecessary hoops. Nope, my time is valuable and I am not wasting it on useless endeavours. I cancelled my Google ads account in response to the nonsense they wanted to put me through. There are better platforms and channels. The overall rating of 4.5 is hard to believe.
The app is easy to use, but it ended up costing us significant advertising performance.
Our Google Merchant Center feed repeatedly broke and was automatically repopulated. Then, around June 2026, the app migrated our product IDs from the localized `shopify_US_` format to the new `shopify_ZZ_` format. Since Google Ads treats different product IDs as entirely new products, this effectively reset years of product-level performance history and Smart Bidding signals.
Google Ads Support confirmed that there is no automatic mapping between the old and new product IDs, so historical bidding signals and product-level performance cannot be transferred after the IDs change. They also advised ensuring country markets and shipping settings were correctly configured, as this should allow localized IDs (such as `shopify_US_`) to be generated. We verified our market configuration and followed their recommendations, but the app continued generating only `shopify_ZZ_` IDs, with no option to manually restore the original format.
For merchants relying on Performance Max or Shopping campaigns, this is a serious issue because stable product IDs are critical for maintaining optimization history. The app itself is straightforward to use, but this change cost us considerable time, advertising budget, and campaign performance, with no practical way to recover the historical product IDs.
Right now, I’m at the point of tweaking my product pages, making sure I have all the information Google needs, etc. I have been using the Google AI to create images with models wearing my jewelry. One thing I’ve noticed is that all the models are Caucasian. If I want a person of color, I have to specify it. We live in a diverse society, and that really caught my attention. It would also be helpful to have the “crop “feature available.
Other than that comment, I have found this app to be extremely helpful. As my shop is just getting started, I am certain to be using this feature quite a bit in the future.
