this is a nightmare. I set it up and it unverified my domain with google and I cant re-verify it. Traffic has dropped as a result. This needs testing before made available to shops. Such a terrible product.

Unable to get any support on this Shopify App. GTIN's are not properly syncing to the merchant center which has caused Google to suspend my account.

I don't recommend the app, since shopify events are not sent over to adwords. Shopify support said they cannot help with google analytics and sent me a bunch of links, when I asked for support for a shopify app. When we analyzed oue raw data in shopify we found 3x conversion from google ads than ads or google analytics showed. This is _owned data_, that should be provided to where you place your bets. This place is google ads (& GA). This idea ("one click google ads setup") of this app is excellent, the performance & support are not.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your experience with the Google channel app. The Google Channel is used to sync product information to your Google Merchant Centre and Google Ads accounts. The channel does not have an association with the Google Analytics part of Google's platform. Oh my god. What a struggle this app is. You might think that an app built by Google would be the perfect solution for including Google ads and google merchant account.
The reality is: it’s the worst solution. Attribution for ads is the worst our store has ever seen. Merchant account sync is the only useful thing about this. There is no fixing any of the Google ads or Google analytics problems. Their support policy is basically “screw you”.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with attribution tracking on the Google & YouTube App. There are a number of reasons why GA4 conversion or attribution tracking may differ from other dashboards such as UA or Shopify analytics. Quite a poor app at this stage, throws up GTIN errors when all products have codes, can't connect to youtube channel. So far causing a lot of issues

Be very care with your ad budget. There is a several day lag between what you see in Shopify and what is going on with your actual google ads account. By the time it catches up, that ad that shows not spending the daily budget has maxed out the budget for the last several days. This lead to spending a bunch of money while showing very poor results in the end.

Have gone CRAZY trying to figure out what I am doing wrong and why my products do not sync to Merchant Center anymore. Wish I had read the previous reviews earlier! Clearly there is a SERIOUS issue happening and customer support is really unhelpful. They first told me to open a new support ticket because I was not logged in (crazy, right, since I mentioned all info about my account in my ticket). Then the new ticket guy tells me to resync and wait. When what they should do is ADMIT they have a problem, stop making is about US and FIX it!!!!!

We are having an issue where our products are approved in Shopify's Google section but are not showing up in our Google Merchant Products and Feed. Submitted a ticket but did not receive an actionable response.

can not get it to work...keeps unpublishing items due to gtin/mpn..We have custom products that do not have these. Tried everything we read about to fix this issue..Is useless

Basically pure hell with shopify not integrating with google merchant center at all NOT THROUGH API, NOT THROUGH GOOGLE APP NOT THROUGH GOOGLE MERCHANT!!! SHOPIFY PROMOTES A GOOGLE APP- HERE https://apps.shopify.com/google?search_id=46852b99-4046-46df-a0ca-ae8160d0357b&surface_detail=GOOGLE&surface_inter_position=1&surface_intra_position=4&surface_type=search Its really just google merchant center but its broken and mine still is stuck on 5/7 items validated and will not approve any of my products. ( NOTHING AND IM MEAN NOTHING WORKS) I have all custom products, no GTIN no MPN but no matter what I do its still will not accept my products, even when I have done everything in the documentation here

NOTHING WORKS. set it to false, no - nothing in the suggested documentation works.
