*Update May 2020*
I will keep updating my review until all the issues are fixed
I keep having to open tickets to get this app working and the constant babysitting of the feed is getting frustrating.
The following issues still remain:
1. CSV import is broken, the metafields in the csv are outdated and are ignored by both Shopify and Google Merchant Center. The only bulk way to update the correct Google Shopping fields is with a paid app or using the bulk editor.
2. The only way to use the free bulk editor is you have to click manage availability from the app, you cannot use the normal bulk editor, which means you cannot filter products you want to edit.
3. Bug: if you have a product with variants and one of the variants has UPC filled in and the other variant does not have a UPC the app pre check will complain your UPC has the wrong digits and will not submit the variant to Google Merchant Center.
4. The feed stalls frequently and you have to open a ticket to get the team to resync your products. If you are not careful you will be missing products in the feed and several times your feed will expire and Google will delist all your products.
5. If google flags an issue with a product and you go and fix it, depending on the issue the shopify app will fail to reimport that product and submit back to google. I have several where I entered UPC wrong, google flagged it, I fix the UPC and the product disappears from the feed. You have to open a ticket with the team to have them re import your feed.
*I know the team is trying and they are working on this app, but they really need more technical help or resources, this is an import app/feature for shopify and critical to every business.
Hi there, my name is Jonathan and I'm a member of Shopify's support team.
I'm sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with the Google Shopping application thus far. I can imagine that's very frustrating!
We sync your product catalogue with Google once a day, unless nothing has been changed in which case it is approximately once every 15 - 20 days, but should anything come up that requires a sync of your products you can always reach out to our team and we can sync your catalogue from our end if it's warranted.
I'm so sorry to hear that you've had that experience with our team in the past, and I’d love to help make it right by reaching out via e-mail and determining if there's anything else I can do to make the Google Shopping application work for you. I'll be in touch very soon!

We have been using this app on our Shopify Plus account. With a little tweaking it does the job!

This is a really good app to use for marketing. Most people use the Google platform so it really gets out to about everyone.
Great, now stop asking me how would you rate our app that pops up every minute. Thank you Great, now stop asking me how would you rate our app that pops up every minute. Thank you
Very easy to set up.its easy good I'd a great app. Shopify its great too hopefully this works better then Facebook
Most simple way to put out ads(once u set up your merchant account). Conversation rate getting higher as the time goes on. It actually works.
Support is terrible.
Conversion tracking is not working .... not data layer is installed on my store. It is supposed that this channel installs the boiler plate code for enhaced ecommerce tracking but none is registered
I've tried to contact support (email only ) this is really boring
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to install and use the Google channel on your store and leave a review. I'm going to follow up with you over email to open up the lines of communication and see how we can provide more support for you on this.

If you sell drop-shipped items or manufactured items this feed is probably amazing. As a small, custom-work shop, this App has been disappointing. First what it does well. It put -some- of my products on Google shopping ads internationally and brought in a good traffic boost of mostly empty (accidental) clicks from apps that I have to pay for. It also gave me a semi-functional merchant account feed I can use for my own marketing. The Smart Campaign wont allow me to change any settings other than budget so I ended up using the feed with my own Ads in my own campaigns. Now for the difficulties: My Shopify Product database keeps randomly dropping my Google product categories or - GUESSES at what I am selling after I have already chosen the product categories (they get overwritten by SMART?? Machine Learning guessing them). Next, Every. single. time, Google scans my Webpage it produces price random mismatch errors that result in 10-15% of my listings being blocked. At any given time 10% of my products are blocked by Google because of a Google Web Crawler issue. Considering they are all listed properly in my Shopify feed (barring weird category choices by Shopify) this is a pretty high error rate. The Google web crawler locks on the initial displayed product price on my web page. My variants are priced differently according to size. So to Google my Shopify merchant data feed is different than how Google's web crawler sees the web page (I don't think Google crawler is fully compatible with the Shopify Web Page formatting). Finally, Google's solution to fraud prevention and offering price comparisons to meet EU online sales guidelines results in a bias that favors mass-produced item listings. IF I am going to use Google Shopping ads, Google would like me to have a Manufacturer's Part Number for a custom-framed photo and I can't fake a registered number; Google insists on a registered part number to sell my items in the US and some other markets. Even selecting "This is a custom product" allows only limited functions - so for the most part a small custom or hand-made product merchant can't meet those requirements. Therefore this app is not fully functional for everyone.

Grazie a Google ho potuto fare in modo che la possibilità di ampliare le potenzialità di vendita fosse raggiunta in un modo veramente semplice.
It kinda does the thing, but has some issues: 1) It uses UA instead of GA4. 2) When using UA, you are prompted to migrate to GA4 3) If you do it, many important Goole Ads conversions stop working, because they depend on UA at the moment. So Google is basically guiding you to break their own product atm.
