The purpose of 'Guide Shipping Protection' is to alleviate the strain from Lost/Damaged/Stolen packages, and replace it with added revenue.

The Process for Merchants
You've clicked the button saying "Add App". Great! Now someone from our team will be in contact in a matter of hours to get our widget installed on your store. We want this to be as easy as possible for you, so you can either: Have our professionals install the code (Free of charge) or Have someone else with minimal coding experience place the code on your site.
That's it! You're done.
The Process for Consumers
At checkout customers will see the option to add shipping protection to their order, for a small percentage of cart value.
When checkout is complete the necessary order info is pulled into our system enabling customers to submit a claim. If an issue occurs during shipping, the first thing customers will do is visit your stores support page. For this reason we ask that you place or allow us to place a few snippets about Guide in your support page along with a link to our website.
When customers experience order issues, they simply follow the link to our site and file a claim by submitting their email and order number. Our support team is standing by ready to work with them, committed to getting a resolution by way of a replacement order in 24hrs or less. In the meantime, you and your team can stay focused on filling orders!

I love having this app available for my customers , It's great to have an extra level of protection for their packages , as well as for me as business owner , I will suggest any business using shopify to definetly add Guide SHipping Protection , ESPECIALLY during major holidays
Here is a bit of information I wish we had known before installing the GUIDE app. First, the dashboard is "under construction", so you have no access to the app other than to install it. You must reach out to support to make any changes or updates. Secondly, when a customer does purchase GUIDE, they receive no information from GUIDE. We changed the language on our site to direct the customer on how to make a claim, but GUIDE currently offers no customizations and doesn't offer any auto messages. Thirdly, we offer our customers the option for IN-STORE pick up instead of shipping, and our customers are mistakingly or unknowingly buying GUIDE for their in-store pick ups. They are of course wanting a refund for GUIDE after they realize the mistake. We contacted GUIDE about the issue. We hoped to just remove GUIDE from orders that select "in-store pick up". The only solution they offered us to get a refund is GUIDE must have access to all our orders so they can verify we refunded the customer for GUIDE on an in-store pick up. Basically, the app doesn't seem fully developed. I gave GUIDE 2 stars because I do think the app seems to have potential but for now, it's lacking a lot of features we expected to have. Last issue, I have reached out to customer service 2 times asking what happens to potential claims if we decided to uninstall the app...I haven't gotten a response.
