I am so mad that I decided to try out this hyped app. It is the worst, the fkn worst email marketing app I have ever worked with. I just cannot believe how come this exists and how come it has customers. Nothing works. Nothing. I can't even do simple formatting. You can't use emojis. It only works with US currency, so you just have to rewrite price of every single product you add to your email. You type something, delete it and start typing again. Guess what, formatting has completely changed. You can only have up to 2000 contacts. Not subscribers but customers.. wtf?!
Hi MadGoat, thank you for the feedback. If you're open to it, we'd be happy to work with you on the challenges you're experiencing with our app. Many of the problems described should be an easy fix, e.g., formatting, emojis, adding products, etc. Also, if you need to add more than 2,000 contacts, we have subscription plans that can scale to any marketing need. Have you checked out some of our help articles, guides and tutorials https://mailchimp.com/help/?
Please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team directly if you need additional help, we love to help!
It doesn't work at all. I have to manually resync the data every time a new customer signs up, the email campaigns don't work, it's a disaster. Moving to Omnisend. This crappy app cost us tens of thousands of dollars.
So far amazing! I've used MailChimp before but this makes it so much easier. its been flawless and does what i expect it to do
We used Shopsync to connect our Shopify site to Mailchimp. A few days later we found out that Welcome emails were sent to over half of our existing subscriber list - prompting some to opt out! This is confusing and embarassing. Not sure what went wrong.
Hi there, sorry for any hassle. We've actually confirmed the welcome email behavior is a bug on the Mailchimp end and they are working on a fix. Depending on when you installed the app, we attempt to make this very clear on the install screen prior to setting up ShopSync.
As a best practice, we recommend archiving any welcome email that is active in Mailchimp. You will be able to reactivate and fuse these back together after the sync is complete. Mailchimp has put an easy to follow migration guide together that you can follow for any other automations that are activated.
So far the app was easy to install and appears to do exactly what I need it to do. As my shop is brand new it will be a while before the final verdict is in but their support is outstanding and I highly recommend you try this app.
App & store not syncing properly, despite manual resync. The biggest concern & issue is the absolute lack of response and customer service. I've tried several different methods of contacting mailchimp and have waited over several days. Worst customer service compared to other platforms I've used.
Support is good once accessed. Hours are quite limited.
The only option within the app to troubleshoot is called a "Force Resync". This option resyncs every single order ever placed in the shop (40,000) and takes days with no means of cancelling or pausing.
I am told that my feedback has been received.
After canvassing multiple options for connecting Shopify to Mailchimp, I would prefer Shopsync
2000 free subscribers now down to 500. You're now charging more then $40 CAN for what used to be a free service. How are small businesses suppose to survive?
Easy & quick to set up. I used it to integrate MailChimp with my website and it works excellently ~ highly recommend!
