We're using the Filter App. The help from Tony has been fabulous. Any little issues we had were quickly sorted. I'll be adding more of the filter features soon but I'm sure these will work perfectly too.
As we are fashion and have a large inventory and many size variations, it took a little lateral thinking to get the best way to achieve what we wanted but in the end we got there.
Would highly recommend this app.
I've tested the different Shopify filter apps, and the Product Filter & Search app by BoostCommerce is the best product filter app in the Shopify app store in my opinion. Its closest to what you would see and use at a major online retailer. I like that you can install/test it in a backup theme and publish when you are ready. You can make your own css customizations and BoostCommerce support provides additional customizations and their pricing is reasonable allowing smaller stores to afford it. See the filter on my site:

I really like the search and filter options of this app. We had some issues integrating the instant search widget to our site but the team were on hand to support and resolved the problems quickly and efficiently. Looking forward to seeing what else we can achieve with this app.

Very versatile and customisable app. Good support as well. Most importantly the developer experience is great. Some app creators are doing their best to prevent all kinds of self installs etc (probably afraid someone's going to copy their app), but Boost has proper instructions for developers in mind.
We use this app to manage the filters and search on our site, and overall, it works great. Any time we've run into issues, the support team has been quick to jump in and help us solve.
Great app. Support team happy to help with semi-custom filtering request. Initially introduced simple size filterting, we're now testing clothing cut and colour options.
