Our warehouse team asked for bin locations to be visible — they wanted to see which bin a product was in without leaving the product page. GeoStock's bin location display is exactly that. Staff pull orders faster now.
GeoStock works seamlessly alongside our Shopify POS. In-store staff see the same inventory data as online customers. When a customer calls a store to reserve an item, staff can confirm availability instantly.
I looked at our add-to-cart rate before and after disabling the add-to-cart button for empty locations. The rate went up because customers aren't getting frustrated by a button that leads to a bad outcome.
We have stores in the UK and EU and since Brexit the inventory relevance is different for customers in each region. The country filter lets us show UK customers UK location stock and EU customers EU location stock.
Our customer service team's most frequent call used to be do you have this in stock at USA After installing GeoStock that call has largely disappeared. The information is on the product page in real time.
Our Shopify theme has a complex product page layout and I was concerned about the inventory widget fitting correctly. Support worked with us to adjust the placement within one session. It now looks like a native part of the theme.
The colour-coded threshold system is something our customers have noticed and commented on. Low stock in amber, plenty in green, out of stock in grey that removes the add-to-cart button. Visual language understood without explanation.
We manage location names across our network centrally and GeoStock pulls them from Shopify natively. When we rename a location in Shopify admin the widget reflects it automatically. No separate maintenance needed.
We had a large catalog and I was worried about setup time. The GeoStock configuration applied across our entire product catalogue once set up. A few global settings and the whole store was updated in minutes.
