I wish I would've read the reviews before installing. Seriously the only reason why someone would even need to integrate Shopify with Quickbooks is to have comprehensive sell-through data, specifically COGS (since those are THE thing that affects your bottom line with sell-through and expenses...), but there's no integration here. In other words, your ledger will show you have way more equity than you actually do considering COGS isn't showing up in the ledger (or mapping for that matter).
Shopify says to reach out to Quickbooks, Quickbooks says to reach out to Shopify... I literally wasted a day today (starting around 11 and it's 6:00 PM now) trying to map COGS from Shopify into QuickBooks and it seems impossible.
Good luck!
very, very poor experience. NO SUPPORT - every support agent will just tell you to go to either shopify or quickbooks, depending on who the other party is.
on QB side, creates non-posting sales orders that don't affect inventory - so you don't get any support for COGS (and therefore profit) in your accounting system. You can't convert those SOs to invoices, and therefore they serve no purpose - and they also cannot be deleted.
all sales and refunds are aggregated into sales receipts, and because they are tied to your shopify payouts, delays the booking of revenue, sometimes by weeks.
run, don't walk away from this software...will cost you days/weeks of time to fix
Worst setup and app ever. DOesn't work and is full of bugs. It wouldn't bring in any other history besides order. Which alone is of no use.
(1) Set up your QB account first. That's FREE. (2) You can forget getting mad over Intuit. They are absolutely horrid and the only thing that will change that is a solid competitor and that will be hard to do because they buy them all. They are Like U-Haul, lol. "U-Can forget it if you want anything other than a truck" (3) Quickbooks works fine if you're willing to do some work. It's not "quick" at first. But all other accounting apps unless you go enterprise are worse.
very very difficult, been trying to connect for 10 hours. 3rd party and they don't help at all. They blame Shopify and QBO. QBO blames Shopify and Shopify blames QBO. A mess.
why does Shopify and QBO advertise tthem, no accountability, endless exhaustive repeatitve tasks and typing....
how do I set up automating an invoice in QBO when there is a sale on my Shopify.
can someone help me?
Thank you for providing the feedback, we are following up directly to understand more about the connection issue faced.
Please note, the app is developed internally by the QuickBooks (intuit) team.
Similar to everyone else who's left a review this app doesn't even work. Quickbooks and Shopify want to use this as a selling point for their platforms without first having tested thing thoroughly. When working with Quickbooks technical support they tell you you have to call Shopify. I'm sure when I do that I'll have them telling me I need to work with Quickbooks. I LITERALLY purchased Quickbooks because of this integration and it doesn't even work.
Thank you for providing the feedback, we are reaching out now to gather more information and ensure everything is working as expected.
This app doesn't work. Our data keeps getting duplicated and creates a huge mess we have to manually fix.
Intuit is also doing sketchy things by importing 5 star reviews on their app store to try and cover up the mess. One week ago, it had about 2 stars on their app store with a few hundred reviews, similar to here. Two weeks later it has 4.9 stars with thousands of fake AI reviews. Super disingenuous.
Intuit, fix your app!
Thank you for providing the feedback, we are reaching out directly to ensure we clean up any data issues.
We would also like to know more about the app reviews, we do not solicit or alter any app store reviews.

Shopify has sent me information that this app has not been updated for some time. It is no longer importing our store information to quickbooks online as it was once doing. My book Keeper said it was duplicating our sale and not matching up with how it is reported to our bank.
We have resolved the issue causing the app to be flagged as "unsupported".
To avoid any duplicate entries with the bank feed please ensure you add transactions from the App Transaction tab and then "Match" with the bank deposits in the bank feed. If you continue to have issues please reach out to qbcommercesupport@intuit.com and our support team will be happy to assist you further.
I can’t believe people actually pay for this garbage. We were forced from quickbooks POS and desktop to quickbooks online and Shopify. It has been a nightmare
Can I track the inventory listed on Shopify in Quickbooks?
