Put products or collections on sale. Overlapping sales do not discount the same product twice.

The discounted item is the cheapest from the a group of products part of the offer.
If there are multiple groups of products, we group similarly priced items together.


Multiple simultaneous offers work fine, even for same collections.










Bundle


Purchase complementary products at a discounted Bundle price.


Examples:

  • $888 Outfit: Suit, Shirt & Tie

  • Shorts & Running shoes at $149

  • 4 Essential Oils and Diffuser at $99










Credit


Credit offers work best on POS, in brick and mortar stores. These give a Credit for customers returning an item. Credit is not stored on customer account, it can only be applied on current cart.


Examples


  • Return an empty bottle, get $1 off your next order (define a free Empty Bottle product in your admin, and add it to cart)

  • Use a printed coupon to get $10 off (define a free $10 Coupon product in your admin, and add it to cart)










Free Gift


Motivate customers to spend more by offering gifts for various cart amount thresholds. Works great with Shopify Gift cards too


Examples


  • Spend $50 and receive a suprise gift!

  • Get a $25 Gift Card for free on orders over $100!

Upsell / Cross-sell


One of the most effective way to increase your revenue is to sell more to existing customers. It costs much less than brining new customers onboard.


Upsell / Cross-sell allows you do easily to that, driving your average order value up. Examples:

FAQ

What are known limitations?



Offers work only in full cart page. Go to Themes > Customize Theme and set cart type to Page (or ask your theme developer how to disable the popup cart).



Offers work only in the online store. Other channels (Buy button, Facebook...) can't show discounts or purchase at discounted prices. POS works usually, but we can't support it, due to many POS limitations and lack of reliability.



Orders which include a recurring subscription product can't be discounted.



Shipping discounts do not work with orders having special offer discounts. Shopify discount codes on prices do work (enable in app Settings).


Are there incompatible apps?



Yes, some apps take control over Checkout and discounts won't apply:



  • Upsell apps (e.g. Product Upsell, OneClick Upsell, CartHook Checkout). Ultimate Special Offers has Upsells built-in, if needed.

  • Consistent Cart, CartHook

  • The Motivator

Can I set specific start/end times for an offer? How about being applicable only to some customers?

I have a currency converter and prices show in original currency



Some currency formatters don't handle dynamic prices well. Auto Currency Switcher app always works.


Can I offer shipping discounts?



No, sorry, only price discounts on products are possible.

A great app and whenever I have used support I have gotten polite, concise and clear feedback from the developer. Have been using this app for around 6 months now and it works perfectly as a buy x get y app.

There are a lot of options within the app to get the specific deal that you are after and if I have been unsure I have simply sent support and email and responses were received very promptly offering very polite advice.

Very much recommended.

Great app. We've used USO on several of our brands and have found this to be the most versatile offers-based application. Very helpful and responsive customer support. First app we came across that does not require duplicating products as well.

Having tried 4 special offer apps over the course of 4 years, this app is quite some way ahead of others however the app is quite tedious on the detail and the support offered is a shade rude if not arrogant.

For basic stores the installation is a doddle. However as Shopify get's ever more complex with its themes, such as the one I purchased (Empire), installation is not straight forward. You will require help. When that help comes it is lacking in substance and understanding of your issue.

They can certainly fix some issues but seem to be rather clumsy in the crapy look it leaves behind which left me disabling features on the app. When you let the developers know they tell you your theme is 'strangely designed' or 'badly designed.' Amusingly, these quotes come about a year apart discussing two top themes in Shopify: "Kagami" and "Empire" - these are most certainly not badly designed themes, it's just that in my opinion their app is a little behind the times.

The user interface is reasonably straightforward but again, it's unnecessarily tedious. If you want to start enabling complex features in the settings I found it difficult to grasp what on earth these features really did and how they worked, if they worked. It's not clear what they do even when you test them out. It would be helpful to know perhaps by way of screenshots, what some things do.

For free product offers, the app can insert a free product into the cart but it's slow. Thus a reasonable percentage of customers don't get the free item before hitting 'checkout.' It's minor but it's annoying. I daren't tell the developers as they'll tell me my theme is badly designed ;-)

Overall I think this app is pretty good in that it affords you what you most likely want out of it but it is going downhill a shade. I cannot utilise the app to its full potential due to lack of understanding and lack of comprehensive help.

The rude support and lack of functionality is making me explore other new solutions that are now out. I'll probably stick with this app but I am hoping something better surfaces.

I have been using Ultimate Special Offers for about 3 months now. Previously I had another app that duplicated inventory and showed the wrong prices on social media, this one is the bomb! Easy to use and setup. Also support are very responsive and quick to resolve any issues or questions.

I was looking for a way to offer Buy 2 Get 1 Free, Buy 4 Get 2 Free, etc. This app seemed promising, so I tried it. I had a product, let's call it X. One bottle of product X is $20. If the customer purchased two bottles of product X then I wanted them to get a third bottle free, i.e. Buy 2 Get 1 Free. The total price would be $40. Then, if the customer purchased four bottles of product X they would get two free, i.e. Buy 4 Get 2 Free. The total price would be $80.

So I set up the rules for this product and tested it out. I added two bottles of product X to the cart, and the app automatically increased it to three bottles and provided a discount to make it Buy 2 Get 1 Free. Great, so it works. No so fast. I then added four bottles to the cart and expected the app to increase it to six bottles and provide the appropriate discount, but it doesn't. I had to manually increase the cart to six bottles to get it to do what I wanted. This would be incredibly confusing for the customer.

I emailed support, and they told me this was how the app was supposed to work. I told them that made no sense. Why wouldn't a customer want two bottles free instead of only one bottle free when they add four items to their cart?

The other thing I don't care for with this app is that it alerts the customer of the promotional offers with a banner at the top of the page. It should have an option to create variants of the product so the customer can select "1 Bottle - $20," "Buy 2 Get 1 Free - $40," "Buy 4 Get 2 Free - $80," and so on.

This app may work for some people, but if you're looking to do what I want to do, it won't.
