TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. LOSING SUBSCRIBERS DAILY OVER THIS APP'S INABILITY TO PROCESS SUBSCRIPTIONS. LITERALLY THE ONE THING THEY WERE CREATED TO DO. I've been having issues since over two months, and all their support team says is that they are looking into the issue, they take days to answer emails and never provide a solution. Impossible to communicate over the phone and they don't answer when trying to escalate the issue. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED
Customer service sucks, Taking this off of two of my websites. Companies like this profit off of our hard work and can't manage to help us resolve an issue. Do not use them

IF YOU CAN AFFORD PAYING FOR ANOTHER APP, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR CLIENTS MONEY AND DO NOT USE RECHARGE My previous review said that the customer service was great... They upgraded me to the advanced support because of a big problem that their software caused. BUT I think it's even worse than before.... Support takes days to reply. They assure me that problems are resolved and the same things are still happening. All my new subscribers get Recharged in double for their first subscription. It's frustrating to try an explain to NEW customers what is happening and then I have to refund them which I lose money doing because of transaction fees.... I've been growing with a rate of about twenty new subscribers per month.... So you can imagine the issues I'm dealing with.... Support is almost unexistant at this point Even though I was upgraded to the advantage level support for the issue below... BEWARE there is an issue when applying store wide discounts to your website for sales and such, even if you choose NOT to apply discounts on the Subscriptions when creating in shopify, the system does not take that into account and provides the discounts anyways. You have to manually code the discount into the recharge app, which might I add is not a simple task if you don't have the knowledge to do that. This issue cost me 250$. But they were quick to offer free advantage plan support for three months. Please read carefully when choosing this platform to make sure you don't have a similar issue. Back end could use some work. They should revise how they display upcoming subscriptions, and they don't really take into account if you have more than one type of sub, because they just bundle everything together in the back end.... could be confusing some times. Customer tagging based on subscription type should be editable, because it would solve multiple issues.... Including a list of customers for specific subs, make it easier to count how many I need to prepare, and also make syncing with Mailchimp a breeze as all my lists are managed manually now...
We had a few problems with this app and only used it for subscriptions. It kept missing subscriptions, and then the customer thought they had cancelled, and then recharged them the following month so the customer did not know where they were coming or going!
Due to the advertised price hike of the standard price going up to $99 PER MONTH we can no longer afford to use the subscription service. We were paying between $15 and $25 per month depending on subscription numbers.
As subscription box margins are tight, we can no longer afford this service and will be looking elsewhere.

Loved it until they sent the notice out that standard pricing is going from $0 1%+10 cents and increasing to $99/Month on 1/1/2024. That is quite a jump! Changing promptly to a different app. Why wait until January when it will make the transition more complex with more customers?

Amazing app, sadly the money has gone to their heads.
We have used it for a little while now, but we received an email today outlining the new pricing we are being forced to pay as of next year. $99pmo. Unachievable for smaller businesses to stay afloat with that hefty price tag. Would have been a better move to shift things to a lower PMO amount and up the fees. We literally only use the app for its subscription functions, nothing else is used by us and we have to pay this massive price tag for features was have no interest in at all.

Disappointed.
We will be finding a new app provider asap now so i no longer pay in to this money-hungry stupidity. Small businesses and large ones pay enough in apps as it is without this sort of hike.

We use Recharge to help manage our subscription system, it works well and we've had some kind folks from their team help us make changes to fit our business's unique needs. That being said, their customer support is quite simply the worst that I have ever seen. If you don't like waiting 70 (seventy) days for assistance with a question, you should look elsewhere. Couple this with the fact that they try to charge customers an additional $300+ per month for an "Enhanced Support" package in order to get more timely support, and the benefits of using Recharge over a competitor are slim to none, especially if you're a small business. Would not recommend unless the company seriously overhauls its customer service.
Terrible customer service and support. Zero support for launch. Advised a 30min migration - it took 72 hours. Use another subcription app.
Customer support is does not meet our expectations... they will only do email... will not get on the phone with you, dance around the issue and rarely fix it. I end up having to add other apps or find work arounds to make my site work properly with the app
Unfortunately can't recommend this app if you already have an active subscription business. The migration is full of mistakes and no one is making sure to inform you what needs to be done when for a smooth transition. When the migration is done they just drop everything and won't even check up on charge errors from the migration. We had to discover all of these errors ourself and they are not helpfull to fix it when asked. We have lost A LOT of customers because of this migration. People are being charged wrong - either too many times or not at all when supposed to. This is your complete nightmare as a subscription business doing a migration.
