Really easy to set up, and very helpful support!

It seems to do the job. I would say that the bare minimum nowadays is to have control over your backups, upload it to an external site using SFTP, and that comes with an excessive price tag. There are some other apps covering a second store for free, while this is with additional payment.

I would also ask them to include additional languages for people not speaking English or German, or the ability to not store any of our store data in their premises.

Another suggestion would be to be able to define retention and trigger on demand backups when you know you are about to do changes that can break stuff.

Having said that, I believe it is going in the right direction

This is a great app, easy to use and the customer service is great.

I made some changes to my theme and CSS by mistake. I needed to revert to a previous version of my store and I wasn't sure how to do this.

The customer service person (Alex) was really patient and guided me through the process and I got back to my previous "perfect" version in no time!

I'm so glad I got this app, peace of mind is wonderful, for when things might go wrong :-)

We have been a customer with these guys for a few years now. Alex and the team are very active in helping to resolve issues and bugs, and the system has always restored what we have asked it to.

Honestly I have had this app for years and never had to use it. I was on the verge of uninstalling it a few months ago....

Luckily I didn't.

We got defaced by someone with theme level access via a Marketing Agency, and BackupMaster helped us get back to yesterday's version of our theme. I'm so grateful. Saved me countless hours trying to get back to where we were.

Very happy with this app, it's simple to install and use, and gives us peace of mind that our data is now backed up (especially in the absence of Shopify having this functionality).

Alex was very helpful checking that the set up was done correctly, and this app works in the background with no need for any user intervention.

Not cheap, but worthwhile.

Um... until it does.
After using Rewind for many years, I decided to give BackupMaster a try because I like the user interface and the cleanliness of the process.
And today, for the first time ever, I discovered an error (self inflicted/user error) on a collection - and BackupMaster "simply" restored the item to the restore point.
Done.
BackupMaster gets 5-stars for quality UX and it just works.
Don't NOT have a backup tool.

This is the best backup for Shopify stores. We have extensively tested apps, and there is no comparison at any price. We used Rewind for 5 years and the features AND fast customer service for BackupMaster are superior. BackupMaster gives you access to way more store data than any other app, including metafield data. Absolutely fantastic app! A++++
