I'm 90% sure they're a scam. Alert and prevent feature is a definitely scam - I called the customers whom they auto refunded and they were actually enjoying our products! And even the responses they write can be done via shopify itself now! No need for this app - save your time and money folks.
Since we implemented this app, we lost all the chargebacks we got. Comparatively with before where we used to win about 30-40% of the cases
Chargeflow’s defenses make no sense. They’re extremely basic and usually just repeat the same line: “the customer didn’t follow our terms and policy.” They don’t analyze the case, they don’t check the details, and in my experience, they even got the disputed amount wrong. It’s obviously a copy-and-paste defense.
Unless you sell cheap products in huge volumes and don’t care about the outcome of your disputes, stay away from this app. If you want a proper defense, you’re much better off doing it yourself. Just upload the customer’s conversation and order details into ChatGPT and have it generate a solid dispute response for you.
They are exceptionally responsive to inquiries, and I'm impressed at their knowledgeability in how to handle fraudulent chargebacks. It's extremely reassuring to know that they are willing to engage with their customer's questions and take the time to listen to the full story.
I had a good onboarding experience with Dave and initially everything seemed very positive. The dashboard looked polished, functional, and easy to follow, which gave us confidence at the start.
However, shortly after onboarding, our chargebacks began accumulating to around 50, something our company had never experienced before. At the same time, we began losing chargeback cases at a much higher rate than we had previously.
The biggest issue was that the dashboard data was not accurate. While it displayed multiple pie charts and graphs showing disputes recovered, won, and lost, the figures were significantly different from our actual real-world results. This made the reporting extremely misleading and difficult to trust.
On top of that, the customer service team instructed us to make changes in Shopify that simply did not exist, which added to the confusion and frustration.
Overall, we are very disappointed with our experience using Chargeflow. While the onboarding and UI initially looked promising, the inaccurate reporting, methods and lack of reliable support ultimately made the platform unworkable for us.
Works great, lots of customization options for fighting chargebacks. They are flexible to help with specific requests to accommodate your company needs. Nice staff, always willing to help. Proactive account manager. Would recommend!
Aubrey was incredibly helpful throughout the entire Chargeflow setup process. She explained everything clearly, was very patient with my questions, and made sure the system was configured correctly for my Shopify store.
What I appreciated most was how responsive and supportive she was — it felt like she genuinely cared about getting things right rather than rushing through it. The setup is now clear, organised, and gives me much more confidence handling chargebacks going forward.

The help from the team was good everything is setup now, having my first chargeback. Let's hope for the best.
UPDATE: DON'T USE THIS APP, My chargeback has been lost. Now the customer has his money back and a free product. It's better to provide the proof yourself, a lot or promises but 0% results. Also my Shop Pay is deactivated because of this chargeback. I don't recommend it!
Absolutely shocked by Chargeflow internal Policies. BEWARE. In order to set up your account they will charge $100 as a temporary hold on your card. At no point in the process was I notified of this and I still cannot believe that this happened. I have installed many apps who perform a similar verification of your card, but usually with only $1. $100 is completely unnecessary and with no notice too, it is completely unacceptable.
I would Like to add that I was Very Impressed with the support from Jason, he made set up feel very easy. But I am left very upset by this decision and the cold corporate email from their billing department outlining their policy:
"At the moment, this is outside our scope, as it’s a company policy that applies to all customers who enroll in our service."
Whether it applies to all customers or not does not make the policy correct and in this instance, I believe it makes the situation even worse.
I will be looking for an alternative.
