I would definitely recommend Emotive. We find it a useful tool and we're very happy that we work with Emotive. Our CSM is the BEST. She's literally the best CSM we've ever had - across every platform we use. It's easy and user friendly. 10/10
The app itself works incredibly well, our retention in SMS through emotive vs email is insane! But beyond the app, what makes this SO worth it is the support... The team at Emotive is knowledgeable, helpful, and thoughtful; they really made it feel like a team effort.
Emotive has been a great hands-on tool that continues to provide our store with the sms results we want to see. The tech integrations have been seamless and timely. My only complaint is that there seem to be a lot of missing features that would be nice to have, but the team is very quick to offer alternative solutions and work on product updates.

Warning: Do Not Use Emotive!
Short summary: They manipulate their contracts to charge excessive fees which are not discussed when you begin and lock you in with unreasonable auto renewals.
We started with them a year ago. We signed a one-year contract with fixed fees. Fast forward six months, they start introducing a new fee. It raised prices by over 30%. No notification was given. Annoying, but fine, we accepted it as Attentive refused to work with us. A bit later, we decided not to renew for the following year. They said we auto renewed and could not cancel.
It turns out that they changed their terms and conditions after we signed the contract, without notification, to lock us in. After a month of emails, we finally threatened a lawsuit and they said they “made a mistake” and we did not auto renew and were able to cancel.
Lesson learned, DO NOT USE EMOTIVE!
FYI: This is the first negative review I have ever left after six years on Shopify.
The best SMS marketing App on Shopify. Our revenue has increased 3000% since using Emotive. Highly Recommended!
Most importantly, this app brings in historical Shopify data which allows us to segment customers properly in SMS marketing. That has been a big advantage in efforts of customer acquisition vs retention marketing. Easy to use and integrates well. All good in my book
Good customer support. helpful features. and overall easy to deploy and use. on the pricier end but the white glove service is worth it for any business wanting to scale.
Not worth the frustrations!
I've worked with a lot of companies in the past and have ended up canceling or not using their services anymore. A lot of these companies make it easy to end the services and just go about your business and carry on. "THIS APP/SERVICE" on the other hand gouges swindles you with their contracts as well as try to upsell you on other services they offer.
At first, they promised to be better than "PostScripts" and that they have better rates, services, and overall, a better experience using their platform. This was FALSE advertising!
We are on Attentive now and are in a much better position with our SMS Marketing channel. We've lost a lot of revenue by switching from PostScript to Emotive.
My advice, look elsewhere for a reputable SMS service.
