Great app! Customer service was fast and helpful. I have tried the other apps trying to do the same thing and Fomo is the best!
We really like the app but it started breaking our site when Shopify marked it as an app that isn't approved - has this been fixed?
Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about Fomo. Just an FYI - the issue you mentioned has been fully resolved. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at hello@fomo.com if you'd like further assistance with anything. Our support team is always happy to help!
This app really works. It helps customers decide on what to buy when your store is new. Customers get to see what other customers have previously purchased while they are browsing your store!.That's awesome! It definately helped me with sales. I would recomend this app to anyone with an old or new store.
The app used to be amazing. I am pissed off that something has been going wrong with it for most likely several weeks and I didn't notice until this past weekend. I couldn't get notifications on any of my devices or any of my desktop PC's.
The first ticket I opened was responded to quickly and I was told there was multiple lines of code that shouldn't be on my site, and that I needed to remove the code to get it working again properly.
The second ticket told me that everything was working right, but then I saw they changed my settings to show events immediately upon going to the site, and only showed 1 event, and didn't show any further after that. I tried several times to explain to them what was going on and they were not listening to what I was trying to communicate.
It's a shame, but time for me to move on to the other app that's free and has 8000+ positive reviews.
Over promising and under delivering. Over three weeks ago I notified FOMO that the app was not drawing my Trust Pilot Reviews as it claims to integrate. The consultant confirmed it was a problem at their end. Despite several follow ups and 'it will be done soon's' we are no further advanced. Will it have full functionality as claimed, for you? Consider other options - this product does not deliver what it claims.
I accidentally subscribed, and when I was charged the same day, I asked for a cancellation and refund since it the payment was still pending. They let me know they cannot provide a refund because they are a start up.......you can get this app at a much cheaper price and with better customer service.
Hey there,
We've reached out to you and Shopify Support and confirmed that you were correctly charged after your free trial was over. Shopify handles our billing and you can find out more about their billing cycle here (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/your-account/manage-billing/your-invoice/apps).
After a review of your past Support ticket, it also seems you were fully aware of the trial length and that you were correctly charged after the 14 day trial (not same day as described in your comment).
We are transparent about pricing and terms and prefer to be fair to our other customers who follow them.
Cheers,
The app does what it says but I think the price being $15 a month is a little ridiculous. An app like this would be better priced at $3 a month (or free!) as its just a simple pop up showing recent orders. I will likely be deleting the app from my store soon unless the pricing is changed as $180 a year for this app doesn't really make sense to me.
Used this app for about 2 months. It does what it says it does (shows a popup to tell your website visitors who bought what on the website recently). However, and this is kind of a big problem - we saw very little conversions to actual sales.
I understand that tracking FOMO App-driven conversions might be a little tough, but according to the Google Analytics tracking we installed in the app, it showed over 14,000 notifications during the time we had it running, which converted to a grand total of 1 (one!) sale. The click rate was around 0.5% and the conversion to sale rate was negligibly small (1/14,000).
Now I'd be willing to give it a little more time (although we did just have the busiest 2 months of the year, so it should have done really great already), but it's $30/month! That's pretty expensive for an app that doesn't seem to trackably increase sales...
Just my two cents...
I installed this app twice. No training comes up. Dashboard is not easy to use. I dont know what is special about this app. I have the same main feature running on my website for free; many apps for free do this. I was only installing because of a shoelace integrations. I will save the $29 unless I learn why should I pay over getting the same features for free.
We ran A/B testing with and without Fomo for a couple of weeks, and found we had more page views and a much better conversion rate without Fomo.
