App does exactly what it says; it changes the name of all your images based on the parameters you've decided on. Great if you have a large store with only one image per product.
The Alt Text App Team is responsive for inquiries, which is good.
Just beware; the app has one button and once you press it; ALL your alt text changes. This is not reversible.
I installed this app, it wouldn't load or do what it was supposed to. I thought it was deleted. Then, I was charged $1.99 a month (I thought I had no apps with recurring fees). When I didn't pay the $1.99 bill (which I was unaware of), Shopify froze my account during the holiday season and I lost a day of sales. Since, I have received multiple emails from this company asking me to change my negative review, as it's "unfair to them." So I'm changing this to a neutral review, as the app did not work for me, but I guess it works for other people.
There was a bit of a hiccup with the initial run through, but Vitalii was quick to respond and fix the issue. Now everything runs smoothly and our image rankings are ever increasing!

I'm now giving this app and the team behind it 5 stars as I reached out to ask them to make changes to the app to allow for variants in the alt text which they did. I can't fault them.
My original review "I'd love to give this app 5 stars but currently, it doesn't support variant images so if like me you have products with multiple colour options each image is given the same alt text, not see to favourably by Google.
I have contacted the developers and I'm hoping they will update the app for variants too, when this happens I will not hesitate to change my review. They were very good at answering my questions"
Iit would have taken days to get all our imagines optimized. finally an app really worth the price!
A nice simple app that helped me quickly update all my image alt tags at www.kidswatches.co.nz with a custom tag based on the product title so that they were all slightly unique.
