life-changing! Builds store inventory easily and is SO NICE to choose brands that dont come from China!!!
My only request is for more children's items and brands. How do we get more options?
product import very easy and sync process, best product best service. best of luck. Excellent site for Dropshipping Business.Love just as I imagine.
Modalyst has been a great service! They make it so easy to add new and unique products to my site and they have absolutely GREAT customer service!
An excellent app for starters. But you also have negative aspects: the impossibility of communicating with the producers of the goods (they do not respond to messages), some products have poor quality pictures and a poor description, the products are listed mixed although I only interest a certain category (for example, the beauty category is mixed with the health category, which is not ok). I am currently on the Pro plan and frankly I'm afraid to move on to the Business plan for fear of losing money. If the business plan is as unpredictable and mixed as the pro is not worth the effort. But for a beginner who issues some quality product claims presented in the app store this is ok.
I had some big frustrations, but eventually figured out the problems were mostly with Shopify, not Modalyst. Actually, there was only ONE problem with Modalyst, a glitch in the app that got fixed within hours of reporting it.. I think they should disconnect from Shopify, here's why:
1. Using the 25% rule*, they could eliminate the headache of ecommerce novices who end up finding out Shopify may not be any more convenient than ecommerce platforms available through regular web hosting. In fact, Shopify can be quite limiting for some business models.
2. Applying the same rule as above, I suspect the limiting nature of Shopify on certain business types is also limiting the quality of their independent name brands. Some of them are great, but variety could be better. Integrating with the other major ecommerce platforms could open up more high-quality independent vendors for their dropshippers.
*The 25% rule: Increase your quality/prices/expectations by 25% thereby eliminating 75% of negative experiences in your business transactions.
There few a few things I wasn't too crazy about at first. The service starts at $35 a month when their competitors are charging less. You don't know how it's going to work and the trial is very limited. The sellers on this site have better shipping time and quality control than Ali express. So I can start selling right away without too much concern. This was highly needed on Shopify so I'm glad it's available. I would recommend if you are starting out and need to sell right away. FAIR WARNING, do not add anything to your list without messaging the designer first & have completed your profile (especially if you're on a trial basis). I was just testing the site before signing up (trial basis) and I was blocked for 3 months by a swimwear designer that I really liked. They have very few swimwear sellers so I was annoyed. I emailed Modalyst about this but have not heard back as of yet. Maybe they will update their info to warn retailers who new to their site.
I've been using modalyst now for 3 months and it is not worth the high price you pay for it. The customer service is non existent, have emailed and there's no responses. It costs $65 NZD a month and for the overpriced items it is simply too expensive. There is very little profit margin to be had with these products. Its not syncing in my store either and it keeps automatically halving the price of the price i've put them on my shop for which is scary because if someone buys an item when it auto-syncs the price i'll have to end up paying alot of money. Because of my exchange rate and the fact that you often have to pay $20nzd for shipping per item + an extra $8 when you use supplier Q2 it is beyond expensive and I am not seeing a turn around in sales. This will be my last few weeks using this app unfortunately.
The best app for dropshipping. After a long search, finally found successful. Thanks for the Modalyst team.
There are just enough quality suppliers in the MODALYST app to bump it up to 4-5 star rating for most sellers. I also noticed some of these suppliers adding new products quite often. Quality products in whatever niche is always welcome and necessary for apps like this to survive. MODALYST has done a better job than most of bringing in quality for others to sell.
I send this app this message!! It's really disappointing to see more than 100 item just vanished over night shopify is investigating that too. I'm not sure if you understand how hard is to make every item look perfect I have spent so much time and money on them!!! Now is very reasonable for your team to refund at least my last month charges which was withdrawn yesterday.
It seems when a designer moves on it takes all the item from your store. in last 6 month same happed to at least 200 items in my shop
