Seriously, I would avoid this APP. I did an install then immediately uninstall once I saw the customization required for this. It has left code in my theme am finding very difficult to get rid of. The customer service APP support are not helping out! Becoming a real annoyance

I paid $480 2 days ago to get a range of SEO issues fixed. I am pretty annoyed to get an automated email from them saying there's a bunch of things that need fixing without listing them and then suggesting I spend $180 to get them addressed.
They tell me my blog post isn't part of my domain when it is, and that my last three posts don't have any internal links to my website (products and other blog posts) when they do.
The "dashboard" is really a funnel to get you to spend more money with them.
Feeling underwhelmed and unimpressed.
So nearly 3 years later, I thought I would give Plugin SEO another try. I opted for the free plan to see if what they said SEO-wise was accurate.
Of the 6 apparent blog issues, only two were correct, that I had my own domain and didn't have a feed set up. However it said I didn't link to products in my own store or to external websites (when I do), that I hadn't blogged in last 28 days with my blog last updated 27 September 2021 when I actually blogged last on 2 March 2023, that my blog posts were under four words (none of them are), and that my blog post length was too short at under 100 words when the last 5 were 1,119 words, 866 words, 601 words, 743 words and 263 words.
They are just copy-and-pasting "issues" to get you to spend money.
And now I won't.

Great service and prompt customer service. Highly recommend, seek help & your issues will be fixed. 31/08/22: I have tried emailing help@pluginseo.com for cancelling the service but email bounces, no alternative message or how to cancel. Difficult to uninstall. Disappointed:(

I think its great I have to check for more comments that can help other merchants , but be honest I need more time to see the results

It's true that it can time time to see results from SEO changes - after you've made your updates to Products and Collections with templates, don't forget to resumit your site to be recrawled by search engines so those changes can be noticed right away!

This application is one of the worst, it is very inconvenient to use. and there are no training materials in use. The support is terrible, they weigh it down for a long time and not to the questions that they asked

Our Forever Free Plan version will allow you to check your site for important SEO, Speed, and Blog issues that could stop you from performing well in search engines, and there's a fortnightly check email that's free too. The free version can still help you correctly optimize your content when adding products and writing blog posts.
We've provided the how to fix instructions in the ‘Fix this yourself’ section of our app and also in our FAQ page.
You also have the option to upgrade to Plug in SEO Plus or Pro with a monthly fee. It's a set of SEO enhancements out-of-the-box and tools for you to manage your SEO effectively.

I am new to online store setup. This app has done enough of what I needed it to help me with and I am very appreciative. For me, I think it is still a bit confusing unless you truly understand what you are doing. I spent many hours learning about SEO and was able to come back and use the features. For some there may be a learning curve, but the app will get you where you need to be.

I have very little experience with SEO, and in general I used to be totally hopeless with anything relating to Web-design, making any changes or posting anything on my website. I would break out into an immediate sweat.

Shopify recommended this app to fix SEO issues and it has been a great tool so far. It gives great explanations as to how to fix certain issues, even if you aren't tech savvy, and it because it is a "plug in," it actually uses "fill in the blank" templates to automatically adjust your SEO in your Shopify site. The support helped us clean up the code automatically installed by the app. Code that negatively impacted our SEO metrics (after the first installation). We installed this app to test it out. But the app made changes to the Theme files, adding code that changes ALL our Meta Titles and Meta Description in an undesirable way. These files were not removed upon uninstallation, and meanwhile, we had the theme copied to our other sites. We experienced a massive leap in numerous SEO factors when we uninstalled the app, so please watch the SEO metrics after installation.

Thank you for giving us a chance to make it right.
Please note that using the theme on stores without our app subscription will cause code issues and conflicts and the option to opt-out of the templating feature is in the app.
Anytime there are changes to a website there's a chance of changes in traffic because Google has to re-evaluate the website.

When in the app there is an option for your manually entered title and meta description tags not to be not be overwritten by Plug in SEO Plus templates.
After uninstalling a Shopify app there may be code still leftover from it in your theme. That's often not the fault of the developer, it's the way Shopify works. Unfortunately when you delete the app in your Shopify admin the app's access to your theme is immediately removed: there's no opportunity to clean up leftover theme changes.
Because of this all of the best Shopify app developers will do this cleanup for you for no charge.
