SC Product Options

Have been working with Product Options by Bold for approx two weeks now, the app is powerful, but needs a little further development which would make product option creation more efficient. Overall, I rate the product at 3.5 Stars.

I am moving jackandjillboutique.com from yahoo store to Shopify. While the templates I use at yahoo store give me the ability to add product options very easily at no extra cost, Shopify does not allow me to create a ton of product options easily. But Shopify does give other types of flexibility in managing an ecommerce store. Product Options from bold apps solved this problem quickly and effectively with its premium version at a low cost outlay per month compared to coding it using expensive developers.

This app works extremely well for us. The products we sell are not off the shelf products. They are highly configurable medical products built to our customers specifications.The premium version of Product Options is extremely useful in that it allows us to create rules and logic to the options available to our customers. The Bold Product support team is one of the best I have ever dealt with. They are helpful, knowledgeable, patient, understanding, customer oriented and go out of their way to make sure their customers are satisfied. I highly recommend this product.

Amazing App... allows you a very high level of customization. This app was just what I needed, and the support team is awesome too!

Customer Support is awesome. They kept me in the loop the entire time, even as they "escalated" my ticket for being complicated and technical, they stuck with it and got the job done, and I am a happy happy camper. Tamer and Garret where both quick with their email correspondence, I was never left in the dark. I am considering other apps Bold offers just because I know they are quality and are there if I need them. Without rambling with specifics, I am very satisfied with the service and product (app), and would recommend any Bold App to a friend. Thanks again for all your help, it is very much appreciated! Overall the product options App by Bold has been a lifesaver for us. We really needed the mix of pieces that it pulled together. I give it 4 stars only because there is just some slight room for improvement (like removing excess data from product info and ability to hide products from showing or not on checkout - because it impacts abandon cart messages in strange way for us but we have unique needs)...the service is SOLID 5 STARS and tech support goes over and above to keep it working if anything comes up or needs refinement. I've had several superstars (Julian recently) who just get it done right and timely. MUCH appreciated and thanks to the entire team.

I definitely don't use the app to it's fullest, but I love the ability to create seemingly endless product customizations. HOWEVER, the three star review is for their terrible customer service regarding a simple fix. I have since submitted negative feedback and was told (I kid you not...) to change it by the rep because it reflects on their performance. It was a simple fix that I resolved myself ("change the cart to Page instead of Drawer"... all I had to do). However, I was first told about "priced options" which wasn't my issue ... then the "buy it now" button on the product page, which related but didn't fix my immediate problem. I was also told that I needed to install their application after the rep took and sent me a screenshot of my store WITH THEIR APP INSTALLED?! Like... yes your app is installed, I don't need to give you admin access to install it. If you're looking to download this app for the upload feature... DON'T!!!!! Find another app. The upload feature doesn't seem to work with certain file types (or file size?? I don't really know) and never shows the image to the customer in their shopping cart. For a shop that has a ton of customizable products that requires photo uploads, this wasn't the best for me to choose. I've since downloaded a separate upload app but will continue to use Bold for it's customization features. I also doubt I will ever upgrade since certain features can be found in different Shopify themes, like swatches.

Great options app! I needed several options such as personalization and font style. I had it installed for me, and am so glad I did. The customer service was quick and the app works awesome!
