I love the features in this app. By far better than others I have tried. Simple to install and use and automatically works in other languages. Very happy and would recommend!

This is a MUST have app for my store elitefitz.com . It shows my customers in real time, real purchases. With so many over saturated markets this is mandatory and so worth it.

I messaged with Asa today because i was having display issues and the experience was so pleasant and helpful. I even got a few bonus recommendations. Highly recommend.

Update after speaking with developer: they were really helpfull and explained a few things that were not obvious and that I misunderstood about how the app works.

For example: the app doesn't show reviews posted before the app was installed - you have to enter those in manually. It only starts collecting reviews posted after it's been installed.

Initial review:
Doesn't work properly. After installation it refuses to display reviews even though I've set it to ONLY show reviews and not purchases - it still shows purchases and no reviews.

The notification format is bugged - it shows the full address of our customers (City, State and Country) even tough I've set it to only show the city - we do not sell outside our country.

Had to disable it for now.

Have submitted a support request, will update review later as needed.

Excellent support. Question was answered and Asa resolved in a flash. The GUI of this app is the most well-polished and tidy compared to all the others I've tested (Fomo, Sales Pop). This app is far superior. For starters, it uses first name, instead of the arbitrary "Someone purchased".

Excited to report back with attributable store performance metrics.

8.15.2017 Update: Just had another quick exchange with Asa and the support team. Big shoutout, these guys are very prompt and professional. Top class support and app for sure.

Just startied using it but looks good so far and translates from English quite easily.

Just installed this app after experimenting with 5 similar ones today. Recently 2 is the winner in my opinion!

I had a couple of questions/suggestions for the developer and they responded immediately! They are adding a feature to create specific notifications (instead of relying solely on orders from customers) which should be released sometime this month or next, which is exactly what I was looking for! They also listened to another suggestion I had (and actually were already working on it as well). So customer service, A++

The pop-up looks great on mobile. Unobtrusive and smooth. GREAT for social proof and suggesting products!

I love this little app! Since we have so many products we use not only for social validation but also for our customers to see products they might not have otherwise seen on our site. Super neat!

Beyond that, Asa has been a huge help. Any issues I have, I contact him directly and get a response within a matter of minutes. To anyone looking to boost their sales, definitely give this a shot.

Update: Well Asa def squared me away. She helped me find what a major problem was and their app wasnt working because of it. Apparently a part of my theme code was jacked up and causing major issues. We got it fixed up and no issues at all! Definitely way better than I code the CSS as well as fix the positioning of this gem. All it needs to complete itself is a fade in not a fly in.

All in all I cant complain with the app. I love the little slider that shows up on the screen (its customizeable) with the image and a brief description of the item. It has never went down and support staff is always quick to respond and try to make adjustments that you ask for. They updated it so if there is no name attached to the first name it shows as Someone. Perfect

Tried out 3 different Shopify apps for my store (1) Notify, (2) This one - Recently, and (3) Recent Sales Notification Popup, and Recently came out tops! Using it permanently on my store now. I didn't want to spam my visitors with these popups, so any app I chose HAD to have a feature to limit the number of notifications it showed.

It had a good balance of price and features. Best of all, the customer service I received from Asa was simply amazing, turn around on replies were less than a day. He made customisations to shorten the state name, and optimised the mobile view all within a space of 3 days. *huge thumbs up*

Quick summary and ranking of the ones I've tried:
1) Recently - $10/month, lots of customisation options and has the ability to limit the number of notifications based on time of order.

2) Recent Sales Notification Popup - $5.95/month, lacked the feature to limit the number of notifications a user receives but it's the cheapest option.

3) Notify - way too expensive at $15/month, clean interface but lacks customisation options.

Love this app, very easy to configure, Lots and lots of options for configuring your notifications.

The support is incredible! Every email was returned super fast and the app is working great!

We'd trialed similar apps to this previously and none were without merit - some did the job nicely but were too expensive, while others which were cheaper, didn't have the customisation options we were looking for.

"Recently" on the other hand looked ideal, offering all the features we wanted while pitched at a realistic price.

We've now been using Recently for just over a week and have to say we're very pleased with it; it was a breeze to install, all those customisations were easy to implement and it functions exactly as we'd hoped. Nothing negative to say - no page slowdowns or any other adverse effects.

Really nice app, but i need a option, where i can deny specific products to display. I am using shopify for order, which i dont want to be displayed in the onlineshop. Please add the option. :) - 09.11.2015: Option was added. NICE!

This is better and cheaper than Notify. More features, more customization, and you don't have to clear your browser cache to see changes. If you're still using Notify, you're doing it wrong.
