Section Store: Theme Sections

just terrible. I bought 3 sections from them, 2 of which doesn't work! I wasted several hours to make them work but still it bugs every time. I am shocked

Wack sections. The testimonial sections lack options like staying static and the ability of scrolling. They just float around like a headless chicken. I'm not buying sections to dive into liquid after. That being said it forces me to buy another section and that's how money is earned right?

Every store i've had there's been constant issue with the sections. Supposedly easy to install but you need to add custom coding that doesn't always work.

I am still constantly disappointed with this company. You can send an email for help and they'll pick out one issue, neglecting the rest, reply saying they fixed it, and due to not even checking behind themselves, NOT remedy the issue. Unfortunately there aren't many section apps like this so it's like you have to pay for these sections and receive this terrible service as startup businesses that can't afford custom coders. We trust our business storefronts with app companies like this, and section glitches can dramatically affect store perfomance and more importantly conversion rates. I haven't had one experience where i've bought a section and didn't have to submit a ticket for glitches. DO BETTER

We are currently using the app but considering other alternatives due to the excessive requests for permissions. (Clients, etc)

Just a complete waste of money. It says it works with your theme but it really does not. There was no way to change the font and my site is very font dependent and it kept literally glitching. Such a great idea but such poor execution. =(

The idea of a one-time fee is appealing, but some conversion blocks are currently only available through a subscription model and cannot be purchased individually as a one-time purchase. Once the subscription expires, I no longer have access to these sections. This is not clearly mentioned or explained and is very disappointing.

I tried to get a clear understanding of this, but the support team does not answer questions clearly. I have to ask multiple times to receive a straightforward response. Overall, I am not satisfied with the support experience.

I bought 3 sections from this app because their FAQ clearly says the sections work with all Shopify themes and require no coding skills. Unfortunately, that turned out to be false.
• Out of 3 sections, only one worked.
• The testimonial section (#28) didn’t display at all. When I contacted support, they admitted it was a conflict with my theme and offered me an exchange, but I don’t want an exchange — I expected it to work as advertised.
• The product page videos section couldn’t even be added to my product page. Support told me to follow instructions for “Shopify 1.0” which required manual coding (exactly what they promised wasn’t necessary). Even after following those steps, it still didn’t work.
• The third section doesn’t look like the demo they show on their store.

I contacted support multiple times asking for a refund but got no reply. Overall, very disappointing experience. The product did not match the claims, and the lack of response makes it worse.

Wurst app ever...

So, I downloaded this app and decided to use it on my store for some sections. Prior to adding the sections, I spent hundreds with a developer to speed up my store and my store had been the fastest it’s ever been. Since then, I’ve compressed all my images and been super selected with the apps I’ve downloaded to not hinder my speed. I’m not a developer by nature but I followed the developer's recommendations. So I trusted this app’s claims that it would not slow down my store, unfortunately it did. My store slowed down significantly! My store speed went from a 2.42 second load time to close to 8 seconds! I reached out to the developers of this app to tell them this, I was requesting an exchange because I thought a text based section would be better since the scrolling collections sections was the issue and basically told they can’t do anything about it and it’s not their app. I was also told to reach out to a Shopify experts to help with this matter. Be careful with this app and the sections.
