In the beginning the program was a lifesaver and really improved our system of package fulfillment..however after using it for a year+ I've come across countless bugs and errors that the shipstation team seems blissfully unaware of. They will tell you they're looking into it and that nobody else has ever been affected by the problem you're describing. They will ask for screenshot after screenshot of proof and even when you supply it they are still investigating the matter and nothing ever gets done. I've had the problem of back to back orders somehow swapping with one customer's information being put onto the next label. I swept the earlier occurrences under the rug but just one occurrence today where hundreds of dollars were lost along with getting a bad google review on top of it. I've asked to be compensated for my losses or at least a refund but they will ignore your request completely and ask for more screenshots (of information they can even see themselves on their end!) Nobody available over the phone, only a chat that's sometimes available or email communication which takes forever to get anything accomplished. Sadly will no longer be using the program. If you start noticing bugs-BEWARE and get out fast before it costs you lots of $$$. You'll kick yourself for not canceling sooner.

Horrible. We chose them ShipStation weeks before our launch and when ever we contacted them it was never their fault that the labels could not be printed . They blamed Shopify they blames Fedex....it was never there issue. To top it off when we launched after they assured us everything was fine....IT FAILED and no one was there to help. No Human -- No Chat. We called ShippingEASY got real people and they got us up and running in it all out in 1 phone call . Thank You SHIPPING EASY. GOOD BY SHIPSTATION


Initially was told this app would work for what we needed only to find out several hours of work later that it did not get rates. I had told them that I wanted to use this to replace a competing product and they never clarified that it would not work for that purpose.

This is probably a good product but they didn't accurately explain what they offered when I asked up front.


I see I'm not the only one. The app isn't working. You cant do a "end of day". I FINALLY got a response from their customer service that suggested a use Chrome in stead of Safari... and it didn't change. You cant close off the shipments anymore, and its not an error on my end. Now they don't even respond. So if you have printed off 50 shipments, and cant even close off... its a complete waste of time.
UPDATE: They finally fixed the problem, took a good week.... but its working now. They did apologize for not responding and they did fix the problem so that the app works for me now.
UPDATE AGAIN: after a few days of working, the app isnt working again... and im getting ZERO response from their customer service team. Not even a basic "we are looking into it"... nothing. After printing dozens of labels, i now have to re-print them else where manually, and email each customer their new tracking. So much for a time saver!


As long as it works its ok
Inventory control is not good you have to sell an item before you can add the warehouse location so if you have a lot of inventory items stay away

Absolutely ABYSMAL customer service. They only offer chat and email support and both are slow and typically worthless. On top of which, they don't bother to offer support until starting at 9:00 am eastern (country club hours). By that time of the day, if I've got issues with their software, my day's already shot!


The software is largely good, but if you're looking for support, go with ShippingEasy! At least they have a phone number and are concerned about customer service.

ShipStation simply doesn't care about its customers or about providing quality customer service!

If you're thinking about using them, try someone else FIRST! If you're already using them, you should be looking around.


Into this app for 2 weeks now and am very disappointed in the support service. Can't call them unless we have the most expensive package. Rep is of no help. Just submitted a support ticket; we'll see how fast they respond. It seems like this may be the right program for us, but there's just no help in setting things up.


Wildly inaccurate declared customs values on international orders, glitches, frozen screens, lots of whirly wheels. Your ShipStation experience if you choose to accept it. This app is not recommended for anyone who sells outside of the US. It uses list price on customs forms rather than price actually paid.


ShipStation was just great until a few months ago. Then things started going wrong. The app began to lose track of our scale at random times and could no longer read weights. At first we thought it was the computer we were using so we bought a new one but it did not help. I tried downloading ShipStation Connect and reinstalling it but it still did not fix it. So we decided maybe it was our scale and replaced that as well. All to no avail, so I went to the forum to see if there was anyone else having issues. I found not one but many others having the same problem with the printer or the scale.

That was not the worst of it though. They made a change to the weights and included a decimal place in the ounces. This caused errors in more than one area and I submitted a request to support to tell me how to remove the decimal from my set up. Well, I got lectures, articles and repeated explanations as to why I needed that decimal. I was told that there was no way the decimal could have caused any problems and that it was there to stay.

And that was that - we immediately began looking for a new app to replace ShipStation. Absolute worst customer service and support ever experienced.
