SparkLayer B2B & Wholesale

After initially having a wrestle to get SparkLayer set up, as a code illiterate person, I have to say the features and functionality are way ahead of any app we've used for b2b before.

Support documentation and their team are friendly and helpful (Especially Ben). I'd recommend this app to anyone.

I've been a paying SparkLayer customer and rely on this app to onboard and process wholesale accounts. Yesterday, their system stopped allowing me to complete a new customer account setup, which is blocking a sizable order from a real customer ready to buy.

SparkLayer acknowledged the issue, said they deployed a fix, and told me everything tested fine. It does not work. I have been attempting to reach their support team for over 4 hours and have received zero response.

This is unacceptable for a paid B2B tool where downtime directly costs revenue. I will update this review if the situation is resolved promptly, but I cannot recommend this app to any merchant who depends on it for wholesale operations.

UPDATE: Upgrading to 3 stars. After the initial review was posted, SparkLayer customer service and tech support finally jumped on the situation. They apologized, acknowledged and took responsibility for the issues, and finally resolved the problem by Saturday afternoon. The customer who had tried to complete their application last week wasn't able to get back to me for another two days, but they have since returned, and their account is now approved.

I am still frustrated for the hours wasted and for the 5-day delay before we are able to bring in revenue from this new customer, but I am glad things are finally resolved. To the SparkLayer team, it should never take having to air dirty laundry in public to get the kind of support necessary to solve a tech issue. I'm sorry it became necessary to do so.

Building a B2B site is always a challenge and usually quite unique for each business. With SparkLayer the core functionality is solid, reliable and simply works (which is surprisingly uncommon).

The customer support and response times are consistently good too, the team is knowledgeable and always willing to work with us to overcome challenges.

SparkLayer have done a good job with delivering a trade experience on Shopify and we're excited to work with them to help improve over time.

The Sparklayer app allowed me to completely avoid moving to Shopify Plus! Saved me thousands of dollars. I needed to add wholesale and b2b pricing to my site but, traditionally, using Shopify Plus was the only way to do it. I'm so happy I found this app.

Also, I wanted to do some customizations and the support team at SparkLayer got on a live video call with me AND ended up doing a number of custom coding requests for me, free of charge. They are fantastic!

I've been using Shopify for over a decade and this is one of the better apps I've used. Highly recommend!

Sparklayer is working well for us. It looks good and is definitely giving an improved experience for our customers. There are still a few more features we'd like Sparklayer to develop but the team have been open to taking on these suggestions. Importantly, the Sparklayer team have been great - very responsive and helpful in dealing with any questions or problems to solve.

Excellent App for B2B. Support is top notch and the functionality is great as well. We have a clothing B2B store which gets complex due to the number and nature of variants and it handles it perfectly.

The team is very helpful and answers questions promptly and they also sort out technical issues for you like installing the app, making changes to the settings etc.

The SparkLayer team are excellent! They have been incredibly responsive and have made the entire process of setting up our Shopify integration as streamlined and easy as possible.

They’ve been extremely helpful with every question we’ve had along the way and are always quick to troubleshoot and resolve any issues we encounter.

We couldn’t recommend the SparkLayer app or their team highly enough. The support has been fantastic from start to finish!
