The translations are quite OK considering it's free. However I'm facing an annoying problem - the app is using some old content from my first app installation a few months back. I had started translating but deinstalled the app as I didn't need it anymore. Last week I reinstalled it and I can see that the app used some of my old content. I cannot understand how it happened, but somehow the content has not been updated during the automatic translation of my shop. In consequence, the text is not properly translated. There's also no option to translate text on the main page. I'm translating from French to German - as I'm fluent in both, I can see that there are many mistakes which makes it look very unprofessional. I'd appreciate if someone could tell me how to reach the support team.

EDIT - Rich from the support team reached out to me 1-2 days after I submitted my review and provided concise explanations and the needed solutions for the issues I had been facing. I realized that I had overlooked the feature for editing the homepage directly in Translate&Adapt which I apology for. As I wrote before, the translations are good and the app is simple and straightforward to use (unless you overlook a feature like I did). The only negative point and the reason why I'm giving it 4* is because the app only allows you to translate the content into two languages although I assume most store owners would need to have their pages translated into at least 3 languages if they are active in or want to expand internationally. Hope that in the future a paid plan will be offered. I'd definitely pay for one or two more automatic translations. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the app as it perfectly fits my needs for now.

Hi, sorry to hear this experience but it's some easy fixes. Will drop you an email

Very nice and useful app, but there is still a lot to improve. For example, some sections have over 40 pages, and if you're correcting machine translations or translating manually, let’s say you finish 30 pages in one session. The next time you log in, you have to click 30 times to flip through the pages to continue your work. It would be great if you could simply enter the page number where you left off.

Really good. But there could be content requiring translation which is missing from the translation table. But it's not common.

So far it's very easy and works great! But many of our customers speak Haitian Creole, and it is not available. There's also not an option to just add your own language and do things manually, which I would be willing to do. Hopefully I can make that happen for all our Haitian customers (aka most of our customers!!)

I love it so far but I really would love a feature that makes product titles not translated automatically. In Arab countries we sometimes prefer english product titles or at least in my country especially because the product titles are not really important in a clothes store. so to not get my product titles automatically translated I'm copy pasting all the english titles in the Arabic titles fields which is kinda annoying.

Thanks for the feedback and for trying the app. A quicker way to solve this: go to Settings > Languages > Export, then open the CSV in s spreadsheet program like Google Sheets or Excel, delete all rows that aren't 'PRODUCT' in column A and 'title' in column C, so you're just left with product titles. Then clear everything in column H. Export the CSV, then reupload ticking -'Overwrite existing translations' and this will then make the translation for all product titles blank, which will then inherit the default language (assuming that's English).

It was almost perfect, but that's okay, maybe I didn't describe something very well, thanks for the automation:)

The translate and adapt has been so far very user-friendly and smart to use. I think it's a great help, especially for those who would like to manually translate their website.

Great for 95% of the website.
Its Missing being able to switch out images in the product page and images in the for the blog feature image. I really hope they add this translation so i can stop using Langify. This is so much more user friendly but still missing some sections.

Easy translation solution to use and get the baseline translation completed. I am using GPT4 to confirm accuracy and make some small adjustments to the tone of voice.

We're using the Shopify App Translate & Adapt. It all works fine, but we are MISSING the feature (block section) that at the PRODUCTS you can also ADD A DIFERENT SET OF IMAGES (in local/native language) FOR EACH OF THEIR OWN LANGUAGE. Is this something that can be integrated? Kindly advise.

It is true that Translate & Adapt currently cannot translate product images but can translate images in theme. What we have seen merchants do in this case is utilizing metafields and metaobjects for it. This is the recommended path.
