So far so good! I've used other CRMs in the past, and AC has been an easy onboarding. We haven't dug deep into the automations yet, but it all looks ready and easy to use.
I've been with ActiveCampaign for a while, so I am happy with it and it has a lot of features that would be amazing to use, and it's helped me to grow my company through automated emails. The only thing I would note is that, I'm not a huge techy, so it can be difficult as I need the assistance of a developer to do some things. It could definitely be made more user friendly for people who are not so techy in terms of integrations, event setup, also having the ability to make emails much prettier and having more options. Basically, it seems to be one of the best out there in terms of capabilities, but just know that the setup and backend are not as simple to use as something like Shopify for example.
I really appreciated the trackable data I was able to review. It helped me identify who is spending where, and how to meet my customer's needs better. I look forward to more updates to using zipcode radius searches.

The automation builder in AC is extremely helpful and comprehensive. The email builder, however, is greatly lacking in features, creativity, customization, and ease of use. The tools are difficult to use, and it feels very cumbersome unless you have extensive coding knowledge/ability. The customer service on the team is great, the onboarding process was very supportive and helpful, and was tailored to our business specific needs. Overall, would recommend, but would really love to see some improvements on email!
Good and robust email automation tool for Shopify. They'll help you get up and running with training etc. as required.
Pro:
- variety of filter, segmentation, etc. for automatizations
- very complete related to marketing automatization + CRM (the CRM I havent checked yet)
- onboarding and other premium options to have 1 on 1 sessions and support Contra:
- it would be nice to set basic colors, fonts, currency, language, etc. for all the templates (language because in my case it would be nice to have the interface in english, but emails in spanish), as this is not available it cost extra time
- the onboarding could be a little more proactive from ActiveCampaign to give more suggestions, best practices etc. - the page is loading quite slow, I dont know if this is a problem right now (the last weeks) or since ever
Active campaign has been very useful tool to integrate into our website to be our main CRM tool. For smaller businesses it is a great tool at an affordable price. We will continue to use Active to help grow our national footprint while following up with customers.
Active Campaign has really helped us connect with our clients in a more consistent and branded way. I would recommend to small businesses as they continue to grow and want to market more consistently through email. We are looking forward to more robust reporting options. Customer service has been helpful as we work through issues, although they need more staff to handle Monday & Friday calls as the wait times can be long. The ability to request a call back has been very helpful.
