Rewind Backups

Cannot recommend Mike and his team at Rewind highly enough. Having invested time and money building The Fine Wooden Article Companies Shopify site, and once realising that its copy, images and content was not backed up I approached Shopify for advice. Rewind was quickly suggested. A couple of email exchanges with Mike were had and Mike took it from there. Installing the App and running tests to ensure all was in order.
Really pleased with the experience and from our point of view, a good value for money level of insurance should anything go wrong with the site.
That said one area which still remains of a little concern, is the backing up of our sites settings and navigation buttons. I raised this with Mike and am assured that he and his team are working on this area of the service and once a solution has been developed and tested will be implemented automatically, included in the subscription fee.
So I look forwards very much to receiving notification when this has happened in the near future.

If some peace of mind is desired with respects your Shopify site and its files, then Mike and Rewind are your team.

I am writing this review as Mike from REWIND is currently helping me resolve a code issue that another APP caused on our site.

First and foremost this company has great communication and support practices. They truly do care about us Shopify Store owners. Mike is going through code right now to find a bug that changed layout issues that another APP update caused a new padding shift. This was very difficult to identify what was causing the problem since all APPs we had have been installed for many months with no issues.

Mike got down to the code and began to figure it out after we first attempted to roll back our theme using their very slick REWIND VAULT function. Once we realized its not code in our theme, but an outside APP that loads code beyond Shopifies Liquid Theme code we found this issue. Mike did not have to do this as it was not his problem. Their REWIND APP does everything you could hope for in a full backup of Website or just specific elements. You can choose what you want to restore or restore the entire site front to back.... I mean everything or just one piece..... It really is the best APP for sleeping well at night knowing your always backed up safely.

The interface is very easy to understand with a very sleek U/I layout.

What more can I say.... Mike and the REWIND Team have a customer for life and I am grateful to have found this APP knowing all the hard work we do will never be lost. What is that worth to anyone ? To me its priceless.

We learned the hard way about the need of Shopify store owners to back up their data. I thought that Shopify had backups of our entire website. Nope. We experienced major data loss yesterday when we went to sync new software with our Shopify store. Something went wrong and HUNDREDS of product descriptions and prices were lost. Some products were now showing up on the website on sale for $0.00! When we inquired with Shopify about restoring from a backup, we learned that Shopify only backs up your website -- the theme and structure -- but that we are responsible for backing up our own data, such as product pages, customers, orders, etc. As a result of this disaster, we had to shut our website down while we tried to figure out how to restore what was lost. We lost almost two days worth of revenue. After many long hours of work, we were able to finally restore most of what was lost, but the first thing I did the next day was to research our options for backing up our data on a regular basis, and that's when I discovered Rewind. I signed up for the trial early the next morning. I emailed with a question, and promptly got a response. I was impressed. Well-written in perfect English, no less! One question led to another, then Alex from Rewind called me and walked me through my problem and showed me how easy it is to restore lost data with Rewind, whether it's restoring a single product, or multiple records in bulk. I learned that they have customer support hours from 8 a.m. till midnight Eastern time. Fantastic! When I explained more about our business, Alex was able to offer flexible pricing options that weren't obvious on their website, and to bundle my two Shopify stores together. Both my websites are completely backed up now and will automatically back up daily going forward. I honestly can't believe how uninformed and unprotected I was before we experienced massive data loss. I will sleep better tonight knowing that my data is safely stored with Rewind. Easy to setup and works in the background. Would love for them to add a backup for Stocky app too that is owned by Shopify.

Be aware of this app. I have subscribed with the Growth plan $5/month for a while. However it didn't notify me and just silently increased the fee to $49. Check your apps constantly to avoid extra changes.

We've been using Rewind for over a month now and never felt so safe about our data! We had to recover an old version of a product's description and were able with the built-in functionality. It's a small fee to pay to get a good peace of mind!

If you are a serious store than you already have Rewind. Who in their right mind is not going to backup their shopify store! Sarah in support is amazing and helps with any problem or concern you might have. Sleep easy at night and get this app!

I have had the Rewind app for about 5 years and thankfully never had a reason to use it...But today I accidentally deleted some products that were very time consuming to list. Rewind to the rescue!! It was so easy and seamless to restore. Thanks!!

The app works as described, Paul and Annie seem very willing to give attention to their users. In a highly competitive world riddled with terrible customer service, the team at Rewind shines as a bright exception. I will be using this app for my many stores in the future.

I don't have very many products and signed up for the free plan. I don't know how it's possible that they are now charging me $ 8-month fee as saying I have 5000+ records when I don't even have a hundred products. Slimy, sneaky people. Distrust very much! Oh, and they have a no refund policy!
