UPDATE: THEY ARE TERRIBLE. THEY RUINED THE STORE BY RUINING THE WORK AND NOT DELIVERING EMAILS TO CUSTOMERS, PUTTING ALL SENSITIVE DATA IN DRAMA. PLUS, NO ONE ANSWERS EXCEPT A BOT. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND BREAK THE STORE. DO NOT TRUST THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. THE SUPPORT IS NON-EXISTENT AND WE WILL REPORT THEM. 0 STARS! The app has serious problems and configuration bugs! I contacted support, who claimed to be human, but responded like a bot, providing nonsensical guides and then telling me they'd open a ticket to fix it. All this just with email configuration.
The app is confusing and impossible to set up, with nonexistent support and a non-functional app. By non-existent, it means there are only bots, and the people claiming to be "human" respond like bots. Just think, every message started with "Hello,"
The app is a waste of money and time. Don't download it and pursue other career options. I'll report it to Shopify.

I'm sorry about the frustration during setup. There was a real bug preventing DNS records from displaying for your email provider and we take responsibility for that. We proactively offered a free month to make up for the trouble.
Our support agent Lenie responded within 2 minutes of your first message and worked with you across multiple conversations. The only gap in support was overnight into the weekend. The team resolved the bug first thing Monday.

I've used Georgias and Zendesk previously. This is just as good - if not better - than either one for a fraction of the cost. There is no need to pay $1000s each month for a customer service app. This is the future of SaaS - strong apps that do what you need for a very reasonable price.
I ahve been doing this long enough that in my email somewhere is a bill from Zendesk for a $18,000 a year renewal, which is what started me to move to Gorgias and now to Commslayer.
This is not a shady company or anything wierd or spammy, its from the founder of Lifetimely, a well known SaaS app that was one of the first low-cost high feature apps on the App Store for Shopify.
Highly recommend.
Been using it since nearly the beginning. The team is making great efforts to improve the app and add new features. Fingers crossed that the Youtube comments integration is coming soon!
We previously tried Helpscout which did not work well for us and ended in a nightmare experience trying to migrate away from them (they tried to hold our data hostage).
We also looked into Gorgias but the pricing is insane and charging per "ticket" for every social media comment is completely absurd, especially for brands who get hundreds of comments a week across social media.
Very glad a new player like Commslayer is in the space, and hoping they don't take on VC money and raise prices like the typical software companies do.
We used Gorgias for just over a year after they gave us a good offer that pulled us away from Richpanel. Then they launched their shopping AI agent and refused to allow us to remain on the same deal if we INCREASED our business with them. At that point we knew that they wouldn't allow us to grow without penalising us so we started looking elsewhere. Found Commslayer and I must say I have been very impressed with their product in the past 2 months that we've used it. Their AI agent is light years ahead of Gorgias and it's clear that they write software with their users in mind. I really hope they keep things this way.
Karri and team have been an amazing product at a very very reasonable price. I left Help Scout for Commslayer and the transition has been fantastic. Definitely recommend this platform for your customer service needs.
If you're looking for customer support without getting ripped off, you've found the answer. Commslayer is AI first, has an amazing MCP and is easily trained. We're stoked on them

highly recommend to any ecom owner/store. You can reduce your CS app costs by 90% and not lose any features or functions that are required, not only that we now have the Ai agent in full force!
