A super App for updating bad formatted import files. Little confusion on how it work and not big enough for our store. And a Demo after uninstall and reinstall but solved.

Thank you for being so understanding.
You definitely do not have to pay twice for the same month. You can install the app and activate the paid plan, and it will automatically prorate in such a way that there is no double-charge.

About the limitations - 1000 new variants limit per day is Shopify limit - once the shop has reached 50k variants. It is not Matrixify limit. You can ask Shopify to increase or remove that limit. Matrixify helps you by the feature to automatically move the rest of limited variants to the next day, so you don't have to import by 1000 variants every day manually.

We used it to change all the discount codes in the shop (more than 1000). it worked great. the customer support is also very helping (used Slack to communicate with them which I find great!). Thank you very much :-)

Import kept identifying my discount codes as products. No option to select what kind of import. Followed directions exactly, downloaded discounts first for formatting, edited, then reuploaded. Created a bunch of "products" that I had to delete. Awful on a time crunch :(

UPDATE: Figured it out, zero thanks to support or documentation. You have to make sure your SHEET is named according to the type of import you're doing, and you have to export as an XLSX file (not plain CSV) in order to capture that information.

Overall good app, but missing some key instructions.

Thank you for telling that you had trouble to find the explanation on how to use the Excelify.
Although we are trying to explain everything very thoroughly, looks like this time there was some sort of bad coincidence for missing this (totally our fault).

Also, you can find the link to it from the Excelify app - Help section (when you scroll down the main page a bit).

Please, let me explain why it recognized those as Products.
It's because initially, we had this strict requirement that you have to name "all" the sheets to get them imported properly. But customers mostly import the Products, and they kept complaining that they forget to name the sheet as "Products".
So we experimented with the ability to automatically assume the sheet is Products if it doesn't have a recognizable name, AND it has some column names which fit for Products (like Title).
In the case with Discounts - that column Title exists also there, so it matched.

So sincerely sorry that you had to go through this loop of frustration.
And I hear you loud and strong that we have to make it possible for you to choose the type of sheet after you have uploaded your file.
Also, we shouldn't assume anything, to avoid cases like this when you import Discounts as Products, and you have to delete them afterward.

We will work on fixing this.

Every now and then, you cross paths with someone who is truly significant in your journey. Whether that be from the services, advice or energy they provide to you. I rarely write 5-star reviews because as a business owner myself, I rarely get to experience the kind of 5-star service I strive to provide. In this case, Maris is nothing short of a hero in the world of Shopify. Firstly, the capabilities his app has to offer are an absolute must for anyone serious about their store. The ability to import, export pretty much all aspects of your store make light work of what would be an impossible task alone. Automation is vital for any business growth and I can now make bulk changes with a tinker of an excel sheet and a press of a button. Not only has Maris created a wonderful and easy to use app with all these precious functions, he stands behind his work with the greatest service possible. This app has opened many opportunities regarding business, especially in the dropship world where you can quickly export and import products to different stores making cross testing a breeze. It would be nice to know that Matrixify does not download or convert customers' or order files to Shopify before pre-paying the subscription.
The support channel is also not helpful. They only direct you to pages instructing product migrations; the rest you figured out!

This review is about the BigCommerce migration functionality. We currently can migrate only Products from BigCommerce. The Customers and Orders migration is planned in the future, but not ready yet.
Very sorry about this.
We have fully refunded all your payments, and also raised the priority for additional BigCommerce data to migrate.

Hello!
The both stores were invoiced because you have purchased the app on both stores.
To use Matrixify on your other store with the same paid plan, please use the Shop Sponsoring feature in Matrixify Settings.
Yesterday this was resolved and refunded by our Support. Shopify reviews only arrive after 1-2 days, much after the issue is already solved.

About transferring the Orders - please, work with our Support to resolve that - there must be a normally solvable solution.

We really hope you accept the solution that we did for you...

Free version is useless. Especially for blog comments, you cannot get more than 25 commets(it means nothing, you can do this manually)

Wow, so sorry for disappointing you so much...

But it really sounds like there was some misunderstanding about the Excelify app.

Here's why:
1. Free version is the Demo version which allows you to export up to 10 items per file from any kind of data. And Demo version has no time limit, you can do as many exports/imports as you want.
2. There is no such limit in Demo version for Blog Posts, of mentioned 25 Comments (we double-checked that just now). Your Blog Posts can have several hundreds of comments even in the Demo export, just it will export the first 10 Blog Posts, with all their comments, no matter how many of those you have.

Please, reach our Support here and we will gladly help you resolve any of the issues you have, will explain everything, and will really take care of you, even if you are our Demo customer:

There is a 1-site per month limitation for the use of this App. At this time, there is no mention of this limitation on the Pricing page.

For me, this meant I was not able to service new client websites using Excelify since I acquire more than 1 new client per month.

The company gave me a refund right away and offered to notify me if the restriction is lifted.

Hello!

We do offer the +1 Free for your additional store. By paying for Excelify on one store, you can sponsor one more additional store from that paid store without having to pay 2nd time (and you can change that 2nd store after a month has passed).

That is also explained on our Pricing page in details, without hiding anything: https://excelify.io/pricing/ (and it is said clearly in the App before you accept the charge, and in Settings next to the store linking button inside the app).

This, what you mention that app is "1-site per month limitation", is exactly how typically apps work in Shopify Apps ecosystem. You install the app on one store, and then you use it in that store.
If you need it on many stores, then you install the app on each of the stores, and purchase it there according to your needs, and there is no limit on how many stores you can install Excelify because those are separate installations.

Our +1 Free offer is a bonus. That is widely used for cases when you have your other development store, or if you are an agency, and you work on several stores. Then you essentially pay for just a half of your stores.

You can cancel the charge any time, when your work is done - and that way you would have paid only for one month.

If you are an agency, even more so - we partner with agencies and build mutual friendships - we help them in so many ways, to work on your projects, giving higher priority for features, helping with complex migrations and so on.
About the pricing for many stores, we can always find a good fit for bulk store pricing. Please, talk to us openly about what you need.
