So far we give it 2 stars because we need support to respond to our support request. We are having issues with the integrations page and so far, we keep getting the following response
"Hello,
Bumping this up for our technical team to check
They should check and update you soon"
We have been getting this same message for the last 2 days. Please respond so we can update our review of your app.
**UPDATE 10.04.24**
I actually got busy with some other things and forgot all about this issue with the app...they never did respond even after we sent another email and posted this review. It's been almost a month now.
Will have to dowgrade to 1 star and find another app because we got absolutely ZERO support. And we are not on the free plan, we started with the Premium plan from the beginning because of the functionality it was supposed to provide, but this is just not working for us.
**UPDATE 05.29.25**
After seeing our previous review they did eventually respond to us. They did fix the issue we were having with the integration but there are still issues with the email. All of the affiliate emails are returned with delivery status notification failures.
An utterly dire app with huge amount of security issues some affiliates we able to creat 100% codes.
Avoid at all costs as when cancelling the company still tried to take payments
I have had an ongoing issue where a new affiliate's referral link is showing up in the banner at the top of each page on my boutique. This is a new affiliate and since she joined us this has been happening. I have repeatedly asked for assistance in getting this resolved and let them know that I entered my boutique via the back office / admin area of my boutique yet they continue to say that I clicked on her link when that was not the case. I wasnt even in goaffpro. The support you get when trying to resolve an issue is horrible. They dont even read your messages. They have just continued to say that I used her link when that was not the case. There is an error somehow with the app that they refuse to resolve. I have been asking for help with this for 2 MONTHS and it is still not resolved. Im about to remove the app and go to one where you can get the support you pay for! This has been a nightmare!
Hi
This is because you activated the shopping with toolbar in your program which shows the affiliate whose cookies are present in your browser.
Since you had clicked the affiliate's link, the referral cookie is present in your browser which shows the toolbar.
Our support had also informed you about the same thing.
Attaching the support conversation screenshot below

Also, your email to us was 12 days ago NOT 2 MONTHS back ??
The resolution as replied by the support rep was also simple. You can either Turn off the shopping with toolbar function (Look & Feel -> Toolbars tab ) OR clear the affiliate referral cookie in your browser which removes the shopping with toolbar.
You can clearly test this as the toolbar will only appear in the browser which has the referral cookie (so try with a mobile browser ?)
Hope this information helps
Don't ever install this app. they keep your store connected after you uninstall it and generating codes on the web.
Hi
Uninstalling the app automatically invalidates the codes. You don’t need to do anything else. Once you uninstall, all affiliate discount codes become invalid and your program is turned off automatically
WARNING!! This app will cause you a headache. The app registers and allocates previous and non-affiliate sales to affilliates before they have even signed up! Then it is your problem to get in touch with the affiliate to inform them about this issue and to tell them that the sale was not made by their referral links and that it instead a cookie related issue from the app. Customer service answered very fast, but not really an enjoyable experience I'd say. Clear instructions on cookies and other tech related warnings should be mentioned up front!
Hi Aleandro
As clarified by the support email, this attribution was done by the admin having the affiliate's referral cookie in their browser. That is how every system does referral sale attribution.
By clicking on the referral links of the affiliate, your browser was "tagged" with their referral cookie for sale attribution and that is exactly how the attribution works for regular customers too.
I.e. customers click on the link -> referral cookies are set -> when they complete the purchase -> the sale attribution is done.
We can disable the admins from getting referral cookies set BUT that again prevents them from testing the system at will. So it is kind of like catch-22 situation for everyone.
So we have built some capabilities in the app
The system also gives you the ability to clear the browser cookies via noref links like
https://shop.thesenseofdoubt.com/?ref=noref , will clear all referral cookies
and/or you can easily manage the sales via the Sales page.
Finally, you can also set a shorter Cookie Duration for auto-expiration of cookies or perhaps just a simple "Remove tracking after order" toggle (which can be enabled in the Settings -> General Settings tab)
The app does explain this in the setup wizard when you set the app. Maybe we can add a feature to allow the users re-run the setup wizard to learn the referral system
Hope this misunderstanding does not sour our long term relationship.
Thanks and Regards

I'm beyond frustrated with this affiliate program. Imagine my surprise when I found out that unapproved accounts could generate and share discount codes with the public! It’s completely absurd—how can they have access before I even approve them?
But what made this even worse was the response from customer service. Instead of addressing the real issue, they just told me to turn off the automatic discount code feature. Seriously? That’s not a solution! They never even bothered to explain why these codes are active for unapproved accounts in the first place. It's like they didn’t care about actually solving the problem.
This is a huge red flag for anyone who wants control over their affiliates. The lack of accountability and poor customer support are absolutely unacceptable. I regret trusting this program and strongly advise others to stay away!

Your response is missing the point entirely.
You claim that pending accounts can’t see their dashboards and therefore can’t change or access their discount codes. But that’s simply not true. Pending accounts are able to change and share their codes, even though they haven’t been approved yet. I’ve seen this happen firsthand, so claiming they don’t have access isn’t addressing the real issue.
The main problem here is that unapproved accounts can still use and modify codes. Telling me to turn off automatic code generation is just a workaround, not a fix. Why are these codes active for pending accounts at all? This flaw undermines the whole approval process.
Stop deflecting the issue and provide a real solution. Brushing this off like it’s not a big deal is not the kind of support I expected.
Thank you for you kind words.
To help other merchants reading this review, the automatic coupons simply generates the codes for the affiliates. The pending / blocked accounts do not have access to those codes. (as they don't even have access to their dashboards, so how can they even see their codes ??)
If you don't like auto coupon generation, you can turn it off. Then you can assign the code when you are approving the account (which is again a one click process while approving)
Anyways, we wish you good luck and hope your store succeeds.

There are literally so many ways to give discount to your affiliate's customers.
1. You can have a static code assigned at signup (Coupons page -> Automatic Coupons)
2. You can have a dynamic code which refreshes automatically as they refer (Coupons page -> Dynamic Discount codes)
3. You can have a general code which applies whenever the affiliate's link is used (Coupons page -> Set default discount code)
4. You can assign the codes before approval.
The fact that you chose an option and then when this option works as advertised, you start complaining. If you don't like how this works, you can easily switch to any of the other available options.
This is such an easily testable thing. Just register an account on your program as an affiliate. Then try logging in to the affiliate's area. Are you able to see / update your code ? Would love to hear what you find out.
Please be kind enough to update your review after you do the above test.
The customer service is extremely poor. We explain the problem in detail, yet it seems they’re unwilling to address the issue with their application’s coupon automation feature. Instead, they simply suggest applying a fix in Shopify, but the error persists within their app when creating automated coupons. This renders the automation feature pointless. They fail to provide a solution and refuse to take responsibility for the losses this issue causes to our store.
Hi
The customer service responded appropriately to your questions. The coupon code in question [SARA-48-AF] was NOT created through the app You created it manually in Shopify. When you manually create it in shopify, you also need to manually update it there. If you want to automate things, then create it through the app.
It is quite simple to understand and you can update the code in less time you took to lash out
Also, you are on the free plan, not paying us anything, got live chat support, got right answer in 5 minutes from a real human and still chose to write this to ruin our team's morale. 👍
This app is a scam artists dream, we have had a successful 3,000 affiliates sign up, zero actual customers have made any sales, all the affiliates signing up are using some type of coupon code advertising on coupon sites, which is prohibited in the terms and conditions. I do not think it is GO AFF PROS goal, but it is a tool for scammers to profit off.
The GoAffPro app offers a good level of flexibility and customization. However, there are several frustrating issues that greatly diminish the overall experience.
Firstly, the default email notifications cannot be edited unless you upgrade to the premium plan. Unfortunately, the default Japanese translation in the app is so poorly done that **all texts require complete rewriting**. As a result, for Japanese users, the free plan is essentially unusable.
I even offered to provide GoAffPro with a flawless Japanese translation for the email notifications — something that would benefit not only my business but also other Japanese shops. Instead of considering this improvement, they chose to push me toward subscribing to the premium plan.
What’s even more frustrating is their customer service. Responses are often unprofessional, unhelpful, and lack basic courtesy. The support team repeatedly provides the same tutorial links that don’t address the actual issues. They seem either unwilling or unable to understand the problems at hand.
Additionally, changes are made to the app without any prior notice, and previously customized templates are frequently reset to their default settings — causing additional inconvenience.
To make matters worse, customer service replies do not include the name or contact information of the representative, making it difficult to hold anyone accountable or follow up effectively.
Overall, while the app has potential, its poor support, lack of communication, and unstable functionality make it hard to recommend.
Hi
Thanks for the feedback. We disabled the functionality to avoid spam issues coming from free users. Free accounts users would many times just edit the templates with their custom content and bulk import hundreds of "affiliates" to spam them with the invites, as the free plan supports unlimited affiliates.
Though we strive to provide the most features for a free plan, but I guess we can't keep everyone happy.
The premium plan is also amongst cheapest for the features, so if the email translations are a must have you can upgrade to the $29/mo unlimited premium plan to edit the templates (and in addition support the app and its developers)
This app gave affiliates access to my store that on a gated, locked page that caused thousands of dollars in losses.
